Can’t download individual songs

Jellyfin seems to have a bug where the album sorting doesn’t work in 10.11.x so I can’t get metadata tagging to apply songs to an album. Real shame that we can’t download individual songs for offline mode that’s the only thing preventing this from being 5 stars!

Please add autoplay for Songs

Awesome app. Just wanted to write this review to hopefully get auto play in the Songs section. Currently when you select a specific song and then it ends, it stops and nothing plays after until you manually pick the next song. If autoplay could be incorporated here that would be wonderful !

Good app small bugs

This is a great app for playing music stored on my Jellyfin server. It works much better than the Jellyfin app for playing music. The main advantage has unlike the official Jellyfin app is that continues playing when you put the phone down and the screen locks. The minor bug is with the off-line mode! It downloads and plays MP3 files perfectly. The problem is I have ripped all my CDs in Apple lossless using iTunes. Unfortunately, the app appears to download these files, but I’m not sure it actually does and it certainly does not play them off-line.

Huge thank you

You are my hero for putting this together. How can we support your work?

Fantastic - but missing features.

Title sums it up. Very useful and great app. However I couldn’t leave a 5 star review in good conscience because there is tons of room to improve.

Metadata is the biggest hurdle to overcome. Once you have all your files metadata filled out, Finamp becomes 75-80% of Spotify, minus the bs that nobody asked for. Using something like MusicBrainz Picard should make this relatively simple.

What I like:
-No ads, no bloat, just music.
-User Interface is beautiful.
-Transcoding support.
-Playlist support / shuffle support, all playback features you would expect from a music player.

However, I feel the following features are missing and would be a welcome addition to Finamp.

-Adaptive bitrate
-controlling other devices playback on LAN also using Finamp.(audio from device one, control on device two similar to Spotify “connect” feature.)
-in app EQ
-song crossfading with granular control, ie 1s-10s crossfading

Otherwise, Finamp is a pleasure to use and is a great self-hosted replacement for Spotify. Thank you for your contribution to the self hosting community.
