About

Fortis turns your goals, schedule, equipment and exercise preferences into a structured strength program you can actually follow. PERSONALISED FROM THE START • Train from 2 to 7 days each week, with a recommended schedule for every method. • Include movements you want and exclude exercises you cannot or will not perform. • Record injury-related exclusions before choosing a method. • See incompatible programs clearly disabled when a required exercise cannot be safely substituted. PROGRAMMING THAT RESPECTS THE METHOD • Choose from 15 established approaches, including 5/3/1, StrongLifts, Texas Method, German Volume Training, Push/Pull/Legs, Upper/Lower, PHUL, PHAT, Westside, Block Periodization, DUP, Bulgarian and Olympic foundations. • Method-specific sets, reps, intensity and progression are preserved, including AMRAP top sets where the method calls for them. • Session workload considers exercise demand, compound-lift density, time and target RPE to avoid unnecessary overload. • Weekly volume is spread or condensed to suit the days you can train while keeping session lengths practical. GUIDED SESSIONS • Follow a clear plan for warm-up, main lifts, accessories and cool-down. • Start a solid, set-aware timer from the group you are working on. • Get a 10-second preparation countdown and start/end chimes. • Scale cardio sessions to your ability and available time. • Log sessions, view progress and compare a realistic future projection. • Free includes one active program and asks for a fresh lift setup when you build a replacement. • Fortis Pro keeps unlimited programs, their progress and lift inputs. • Fortis Fusion is Pro-only and coordinates several method-faithful strength, Olympic lifting and cardio tracks in one calendar, with separate days, times, equipment, time limits and RPE ceilings. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, sign-up, advertising, analytics or tracking. • Your programs, lifts and history stay on your device. • Export and restore a local Fortis backup from Settings. • Training and logging work offline; purchases and restore use the App Store. Fortis provides planning and logging tools, not medical advice. Exercise within your abilities and seek qualified advice for injuries or medical concerns. Fortis is an independent planning tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the creators or owners of the training methods and trademarks referenced in the app. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

What's New in Fortis

1.4

September 28, 2026

A lighter look. Fortis has moved from dark to light. A light grey canvas, white cards and black type, with the four Fortis plate colours in the bottom bar, one per tab, so you always know where you are. Training reminders. Turn them on and Fortis will remind you on your training days. They live on your phone only. Nothing is sent to a server and nothing about you leaves the device. Log your session and that day's reminder stands down. Session tailoring. Adjust any prescribed session across six levers: time, exercises, rest, sets, reps, or hand the call to Fortis and it will settle it against the goal driving your current block. At least one main lift is always kept. Edit your Fusion program before you commit. Fortis Fusion now shows the full program up front and lets you change it. Tap any exercise to swap it, change sets or reps, or remove it. Swaps only offer movements in the same pattern that your equipment can train, and the last main lift in a session stays put. Set a time cap of 30, 45 or 60 minutes per session and Fortis trims to fit, dropping the work that matters least for your goal first. Anything removed stays visible struck through so you can put it back. Clearer onboarding. The training experience question is now a slider with four stops, each with a plain description underneath, so you can see exactly what you are telling Fortis. Also in this update: the sidebar toggle and its header bar are gone, which gives every screen more room. Get around with the bottom tabs or swipe in from the left edge.
