I have been using this service monthly for a decade through all iterations of the company and now we have FreeNow/Lyft. I have never once been recognized as a good client.

Not worth it
I am a US tourist visiting UK. It was my first experience using this app and just like the American version of the Lyft app, it was very disappointing. Driver tried to call me first then kept driving in the opposite direction. I canceled the ride, but got charged a cancelation fee. Now I am trying to contact the customer support to get a refund and there is no live support available. I am never using this app again. Such a waste of my time and unnecessary stress on my vacation!

Beware of where you use this app!
Beware of where you use this app. In certain cities, say Rome for example, the app works flawlessly and connects you to amazing safe and friendly drivers. Use the app in Napoli, the driver will never arrive, and Freenow will charge you the full amount for a ride you never received.

Freenow has been a godsend on my vacation in Greece. Fast and affordable rides to all the different places I wanted to go to and all my drivers have been very friendly !
Not sufficiently protecting users against scams
Drivers are able to somehow charge you for a different route than the one you took if you are not careful. This shouldn’t be possible technically.

Watch out for their marketing
I consider myself scammed by this company and a marketing offer seemingly for 60% off a journey on which they refused to pay out.

Don’t trust them
I wanted to use this app. I selected a taxi with a price of “€15 - 22” and of course as soon as I chose it I was charged €22. The trip went well and the driver was very good and at the end I wanted to leave a €2 tip. But as soon as I got to my destination, I got a message saying I owed €7! €2 for the tip and €5 for . . .??? No explanation! They just decided they wanted €5 from me. I tried to use the chat to learn more, but I waited 15 minutes to chat with a person the first time and over 20 minutes the second time. Then I sent an e-mail, but I didn’t get a reply.

Used to love
I still use it, but we’ll see for how long. I do not enjoy the new pricing or interface since Lyft took over. FreeNow was a lifesaver my first time in Spain. Now I’m finding fees and price ranges rather than set prices (which in the always end up on the high side). Gratuities for cab drivers are NOT customary here, and I hate to see tip suggestions built passively into the software. Tipping culture is not a practice to promote nor aspire to and those who don’t have it are better off without.

Large Trunk
When we traveled to Athens, we were able to obtain a large trunk vehicle (van/station wagon) much quicker than Uber. Twice, I was accepted immediately for large trunk with Freenow when Uber took over 20 minutes for a driver to accept (still didn’t get accepted). We will use Freenow when we’re traveling to the locations that they operate in. Thank you!

Terrible Experience!
I’ve attempted to call a car three times over the last few days and not once was I actually picked up. I can’t stand Uber, but at least I reliably get picked up. Uninstalled…
Over Charging
Booked a trip from Ostia to Rome airport and was given a total price of €35. At the airport the driver demanded €45, saying that Freenow only gives minimum estimate. I found that to be unpleasant and misleading, if the driver was correct. I’ve informed Freenow and asked for €10 back. Their decision on this matter would influence whether I use them again in the future.

Great App great service
There’s always a driver with you straight away! We also booked a car with extra luggage space to take us to the port, driver was waiting for us 10 mins early and all baggage fitted nicely in the trunk. The drivers we have had have been really good and friendly, we would fully recommend this app if you are in Greece👍
