Will Never Use Again

The sensors continually fail. The app is technically weak where a sensor can’t be reset or re-initialized. One and done sensors even if they fail immediately upon application. The Support is of no support. I called and they failed to replace with working sensors (x2 immediately didn’t work), costing me time and money. I will never use again. The Abbott company is a joke.

Dictator

I love the features of the app but I don’t like the fact that the app notifications can’t be turned off without being harassed about them being off until you turn them back on.

Freestyle Libre 3

I love my Libre sensor. Never had an issue falling off maybe because I use a patch cover. Put it on as directed. No issue. I like the formats. The doctor can see the graphs and the daily, weekly progress, which is great. Ask doc’s office for the code to connect.
Very seldom does it disconnect. It helps me be accountable and I need that.

Continue message

I don’t like the app will not show reading if I turn off the critical alerts. It sent out messages every 2 minutes within the last 48 hours. I removed the sensors and turned off notifications and now just sticking my finger manually

Inaccurate readings

I’ve had this for 2 months now and only once has my sensor given me a near accurate reading. It was 10ml off, but it’s literally the closest it’s come to what my finer stick has stated. On my first month of using this my app was constantly yelling at me for having low blood sugar, but now it’s telling me I’m high all the time when I’m not. It just said I’m at 165 when my finger stick says 79. I cannot continue wasting money on this if it’s not going to work. I can’t risk my health nor my money. I will be contacting my insurance in the morning about seeing if I can get approved for another brand that may actually work and not risk my life.

Freestyle is so much better than any other GCM I HAVE USED ! Easy to navigate , find activities I’ve logged. and accurate . I would highly recommend Libre 3 above all others !! I would give it 10 stars if it were available 🥰

Works 50% of the time

Says it lasts for 15 days. 7 of them days you have no signal. It beeps more from loss of signal than the alerts you set. Not to mention that I purchased one that was damaged upon opening it.

Wrong reading.

I wasted my money buying this sensor because it always gives incorrect readings and wrong information.

Alarms , alarms, and alarms!

So, let’s grant, for the sake of argument, that I need an audio critical alert for a bg of 53. Fine, so I acknowledge. I take some glucose. Two minutes later — before the glucose could possibly have taken effect — the app is honking, again. I need to be able to control such things, as the alert is loud and obnoxious, which is presumably intentional. So, the app is not good granting the preceding assumption. But we shouldn’t even grant that assumption. There are times I cannot have the app honk. I teach. I would love to be able to monitor my bg while teaching, but if it at some point it drops below 55, I will address it without the alarm. As it stands, I would simply have to disable critical alerts to keep the app quiet. But then I wouldn’t see the continuous bg, which is counterproductive. That abbott thinks they know better than I do what alerts should do and when is repugnant and means I will certainly be moving to the dexcom version of a con after my brief trial with the libre 3.

Great product, poor app experience

I’ve been using the Libre 3 app for the last few days, and while the sensor itself is excellent and does a great job detecting and tracking my glucose levels, the app experience has been very disappointing.

There are several usability and reliability issues. For example, I can’t easily swipe through the graph to view glucose readings at specific times. The historical data is also inconsistent—some of my previous days’ data has disappeared, and I can’t reliably access yesterday’s readings even though I’ve been using the app continuously.

The sensor seems to work well, but the app feels buggy and unfinished. Improving the stability, data history, and graph navigation would make a huge difference to the overall experience.

Please update for older model phones

I have used this app on my own phone (iPhone 13pro) but need to run it on a 6s. The 6s supports up to version 15.8.8. Phone work great - no reason to replace and it’s somewhat beloved at this point. He didn’t want to switch phones for one app and I’m not with him all the time to continuously monitor. Would be great for older clientele to be able to use on their phone instead of a family members. We’ll likely just have to see other options for monitoring his glucose, see what other brands might offer. Which is a shame as I like the product otherwise.

Switch to dexcom

Absolute rubbish. Constantly crashes and loses signal. Sometimes can’t even scan a new sensor. Save yourself a headache and either stay with traditional meter or switch to dexcom. On top these constantly unpeel on their own. Genuinely in shock they’re not ashamed of themselves to release these to the public.

Worst System EVER

Alarms notifications in error continuously

Started off good , but now, it’s just not accurate

When I first started using this system, it was great! I started to figure out what foods were jacking up my blood sugar. But over the past year, the sensors have become less accurate, to 40-70
Point differences. Then the sensors going off at 3am in the morning for low blood sugar, but these alerts were not real, I checked them with my blood test strips and found 50 Point differences. The test strip said I was 110, but the sensor said it was 53!
I have to stop using the Freestyle Libre 3+, will look for another product

The app shows my glucose exceed 350!

My blood sugar level is totally wrong displayed! Today, while driving, it showed my blood sugar was below 70/ml. A little while later, it suddenly spiked to over 350. I haven't eaten any food. My blood sugar shouldn't be rising like this. Even if it were, it shouldn't be exceeding the maximum display range! This is clearly a sensor data reading error. However, this app doesn't have any reset function. This means the app can no longer display my blood sugar – my remaining time will be wasted.

Integrate with Apple Health app

The app functions well overall though I’ve had times when it randomly loses connection to the sensor. I’d really like to have this integrated with the Health app.

Not great for pet monitoring

We have a glucose monitoring on our husky. The app constantly has SIGNAL LOSS. I can be in the same room as my dog and have signal loss. I don’t know if it is retaining the information while not connected, but it doesn’t seem like it is, which means we barely have information for her levels.

Also, you HAVE to keep the app open. You cannot close it for it to update in the background and I am one that usually keeps most apps closed. Would not recommend. Unsure it would work better on humans. You would have to keep your phone on you at all times.

Limited Range

Until two days ago I had no idea that vets use this device on animals to monitor blood sugar. With that in mind I rated the app and device a one. Even though the device is supposed to have over a 30 foot range I have to be within about three feet.

Because vets are now using it the app should have an option to select person or pet and then set the good range accordingly. Using it on a pet also has a limitation in that you will not get any reading when away from the house unless you leave your phone home. For this reason the app needs to be compatible with the iPad as well.

With that said, I realize that it was originally designed for human use and people would have their mobile device on the all the time.

Maybe it is time for the developers to take a look at the practical use on animals as well.

The Pitts

I hate it. Always losing usages or sensory loss. Not worth the price you are paying. FDA should pull them off the shelves.

Update sucks

Not sure what happened with this app but all the features have changed or moved. It’s says freestyle 3 plus but when you open it to rate is say freestyle 3. The icon was black and own it is yellow. It forced me to scan a new sensor and all my information was lost.
