Doesn’t work
Utterly useless software. Zero customer support. Capabilities marketed do not come close to matching reality. Mostly fake.
New email only section not needed
You have to first put your email in, then completely log in with your email and password. You can put any email on the first screen to get the email/password login screen. Also, WHY DO YOU LOG ME OUT SO MUCH. Every other app keeps me logged in. I literally have to log in every week.
Clunky and poorly programmed
Just let us use a mobile website, don’t force the app, especially if it’s so poorly built. Then I actually got an error that said “You submitted EMPTY_STRING. And EMPTY_STRING. …” it was much longer. And it was bc I hit the enter button, bc there’s no Next Field button. Recurring payments can’t be scheduled to start next month, so I have to set a reminder to come back to schedule it later. And the whole UI just looks like something that would result from a Jr. High coding project. So archaic!

Worthless
App doesn’t function properly and auto payments started failing in 2025. Tried troubleshooting with support and accounting with no resolution so property management company just assesses late fees and unhelpful. Asked for alternative electronic payment method but ignored. Let’s go back to the 1980s and write paper checks and mail in snail mail. 🙄

Please add this capability for authentication. Your competitors like Vantaca have it.
Horrible
This is a horrible app and it is ridiculous that they charge a $4.95 convenience fee to homeowners for an ACH payment of annual dues.
Unusable
How do i setup autopay? How do i enable estatements? Is it even possible in 2026 please? Cryptic horrible UI, i want to throw up.
Has to be a better option
Was forced to download from my HOA web page. If you have your payment info saved in your phone it doesn’t matter because the autofill function doesn’t work with the app. By today’s standards it’s pretty inconvenient yet rest assured, you still get to pay that “convenience fee”.
Worst management app ever
Incredibly dysfunctional with terrible utility and worse customer service. Our management company is terrible and lazy to use this app. Clearly did no research on its functionality.
So many late fees because this doesn’t work
I have got so many late fees because the app tricks me into make me think I pay after I sub mint my payment to latter got charge a late fee

forced to use the app on mobile. unable to log into our hoa. the links in the footer on the sign-in page are just text and not links, thus unable to go to our hoa portal. the apps main landing page is the wrong url to accept the hoa sign-in.

Will not allow me to update or change password. Wants to utilize an email address that is not in use. Can’t believe my HOA chose this app.

Works fine when it works… which is not very often
Sometimes Frontsteps works as advertised and in those brief periods, it’s good! It breaks so often, though, that’s it’s mediocre at best.
Failed when needed most
Pro: I can see community news.
Con: I tried submitting a ticket for maintenance, got an “error” pop up (literally, a single word, no error code or description), I thought it was a network issue and pressed “submit” again, another “error”, another submit — another “error”. The next day I opened the website from a PC and found three identical maintenance tickets successfully sent. None of them are visible from the iOS app.

App doesn’t work. Just gives an unauthenticated error. Trash.
Piece of Junk
Tried to set up the app. I set it up once but then my new HOA management company states it was not set up. I go in endless circles, when I try to reboot the app and start at the beginning, it says I already have an account. It does not remember my password or log-in name. I have tried to reset it multiple times with no results. We have a new HOA Manager for our HOA and they even seem confused on how to deal with this issue.

Never updated - why use
Unable to Add Parking Passes
The main reason why I use Frontsteps is to add a new visitor parking permit, and this app doesn’t have that option?! It’s so frustrating to have to get access to a computer in order to get a pass. Please fix this!!
