About

Scanning a barcode takes 2 seconds. Knowing it's safe used to take 20 minutes of squinting at ingredients. GlutenDodger fixes that. Point your camera at any barcode and get a clear verdict: SAFE, CHECK, AVOID, CERTIFIED, or UNKNOWN. All based on the exact allergen labelling rules for your region. No guessing. No wading through ingredient lists. Just a yes or a no you can trust. WHY COELIACS CHOOSE GLUTENDODGER BUILT FOR COELIAC DISEASE Not a general food tracker. GlutenDodger applies Australia/New Zealand food labelling law (FSANZ Standard 1.2.7) and UK retained EU Reg 828/2014 to every verdict. The rules that apply to the packet in your hand, not a generic keyword search. SCAN THE LABEL WHEN THE DATABASE DOESN'T KNOW If a product isn't in the database yet, photograph the ingredients list. GlutenDodger reads it on your device. Nothing is uploaded, and it gives you a verdict from the text on the packet. WATCHES YOUR OTHER ALLERGIES TOO Track dairy, soy, nuts or egg and every scan flags them: "Also spotted: Soy (soy lecithin)" right on the verdict. Gluten stays the headline; your other allergies are watched in the background. EVEN COSMETICS Lipsticks and skincare list gluten in Latin. For example, Triticum Vulgare is wheat. GlutenDodger reads INCI names and checks cosmetic barcodes against the Open Beauty Facts database too. YOUR SAFE LIST, OFFLINE Save any SAFE or CERTIFIED product to your personal Safe List. Works with no internet. Products with no barcode match can be saved as your own named entries, photo and all. EAT OUT WITH CONFIDENCE Curated GF dining picks from the GlutenDodger team, with GF safety tags. Plus one-tap links to Find Me Gluten Free and the Coeliac Australia accredited venue directory. These two of the best community-maintained GF dining resources in Australia. FINDS CURATED GLUTEN-FREE DISCOVERIES New GF products, favourites and deals, curated by the GlutenDodger team and updated continuously; no app update needed. Some links may earn us a commission; it never changes what we list, or any verdict. NEWLY DIAGNOSED? START HERE The 14-day 'I just found out' guide walks you through the first two weeks. What coeliac disease means, what to remove from your kitchen, how to read a label, eating out, cross-contamination, talking to family. One step a day, at your own pace, hosted by Dodge. FIVE CLEAR VERDICTS - NEVER A SHADE OF GREY CERTIFIED - carries a recognised gluten-free certification mark SAFE - no gluten sources found on the label CHECK - precautionary advisory (may contain) or label unclear AVOID - contains a gluten source UNKNOWN - not enough data; we tell you what to do next Every verdict shows its source and the date it was checked - and every SAFE verdict reminds you: the label is the authority. PRIVACY BY DESIGN No account. No name. No email. No ads. No analytics tracking. Camera images are processed on your device and never uploaded. Your scan history stays on your phone and nowhere else. 'Delete all my data' wipes everything instantly. REGIONS SUPPORTED Australia and New Zealand · United Kingdom · More coming soon WHO IT'S FOR Coeliacs who need certainty, not a best guess. People with non-coeliac gluten sensitivity. Parents managing a gluten-free household. Carers shopping for someone with coeliac disease. Anyone diagnosed in the last six months who is still learning which foods are safe. IMPORTANT GlutenDodger is an information aid based on product database data and label text. It is not medical advice. Always check the physical label, especially for products you have not bought before, and consult your dietitian for personalised guidance. Product data sourced from Open Food Facts and Open Beauty Facts (openfoodfacts.org) and on-device label scan. These are great data sources. We aren't building a proprietary data source. These fantastic resources exist and we direct any corrections you might suggest to these so everyone can benefit.
