Most recent update sucks
This most recent update, Labor Day 2026 is beyond awful. Not only did it log me out of all of my email accounts, now I can’t log back in whatsoever. It’s been over 48 hours and not only do I get the same server error message, but I also can’t log in whatsoever on my phone using a browser. My only means of logging in is via my laptop. I’m beyond disappointed and very upset with this garbage update. I expect GMX to fix this stat. More than happy to provide screenshots to prove the problem.
UPDATE:
Now I can log into the app. However, I have a second GMX account that was linked to it. I am no longer able to log into it, I get the error message that there is an issue with the password. When I try to recover it and the code gets sent to my phone, I get the error message that it’s the incorrect code. The code is copied verbatim from the notification. This is stupid and needs to be fixed. This email account is critical for me to access and not being able to recover the password or make any progress whatsoever to reset it is absolutely unacceptable.

GMX mail Absolute Rubbish
Useless service they delete your email account without warning and you cannot recover your emails, pathetic service. I lost all my emails and many apps and services rely on authentication to email addresses to change email addresses, GMX mail should be shut down.
When it works. Some problems.
Was the best I’ve used but on occasion the content of an email still fails to appear in the app version if the app is open when the email is delivered, although the preview does in the side bar. I then have to use the browser version instead.
Now for quite some time was unable to login with a -7 error message. Help just rotated through the options. Tried all the suggestions despite iOS and app being the latest versions installed in the vain hope of something kicking in.
Oddly works with iOS 15.8.8 but did not with the latest iOS 26.6.2. Wonder if it will with iOS 27 due soon!
The app is now working so credit due to the techs who de-bugged it.

GMX Email
Great when it works, which is most of the time .. but before they release an update on here they really need to test it first as the last one stopped access on ios…
Stop working
The app has stopped working for me after last update. It always shows service unavailable. I have reached out but I did not get any support. I made the mistake of making this my main email and now I am not sure what to do.
No customer support
I've had no access to to my email for about four days now. It is arduous getting in contact with this company. I have managed to message them, but they do not respond. The support should only take a few hours at most if someone is without email. This is such a poor level of customer support.
Can’t open mail.
This has been fantastic until yesterday when the whole system now won’t open emails. Be that on app or website. Checking online this seems to have been going on for a while for some and nothing has been done.

Ahhh App not working
Guys, the app was flawless until a few days ago, so to recover the password and app-support shows up in German is ONE issue. The big issue is the app locks out for me(when I have to enter my email and password). I get error, Service unavailable-The server is unreachable due to a technical error. Please try again later.(-7).
Now, when I attempt to log in from the World Wide Web and go to GMX.com I get this error {“error” :{ “ status-code” : “403” , “message” : “blocked” , “request-id” : “ e2dc7360c25a9e60aa8114c3d9ce7bc9-199 “ }}
Again, all on my mobile iPhone but it all work fine from the world wide web on the computer(i have a iMac computer )

Needs a lot of work
Have a lot of trouble logging in
Good until 3 days ago
Never had an issue for 2+ yrs but the last 3 days cannot log in due to technical error -7. Whatever that means. Tried contacting GMX and can't get past the automated help page which is useless.
Mail App Access Failures
When accessing/opening app to check mail, app requests to log-in. After entering log-in info, app returns with following msg:
“Service Unavailable
The server is unreachable due to a technical error.” Mail can not be accessed on phones via App or via browsers (tried several devices). Support is useless as it is all in German with no options to translate into different languages.

Updated app today-it will not let me use apple mail. Cannot login. Cannot login via the web either. I need my mail! So, not so safe and reliable

Absolute joke
Downloaded the app on my iPhone. Worked ok for about a month and now I cannot log in. Help and support offers nothing. I have had an account for 10+ years. Need an email that is reliable and this is no longer it.

IOS 26.6.2
Ever since I updated to 26.6.2 GMX won’t let me login. The app and website doesn’t allow updated IOS users in. I tried to contact support and crickets. The app works on Android but not IOS
