Awful!!!!
Since this last update you can hang up on a call far too easy whereas before you couldn’t!!! Also now it won’t ring if someone calls me!!! I use this for work messages and it’s not even letting me know I’m getting a text!! Accidentally press the power button—you’re just hung up the call!! NEVER USED TO DO THIS UNTIL THIS UPDATE!!!! FIX IT!!!

Uncharacteristically awful
Google apps are usually flawless regardless of whether you are using an Apple product and software or if you’re using an android product and software but this version of Google Voice for Apple software is atrocious it’s buggy it’s slow it freezes. It’s it’s terrible I certainly hope they fix it soon.

Good features but TERRIBLE App. All 3rd party are way more smooth and clear interface… this app is slow and pauses and dont function correctly.. need to be rebuilt from ground 0 up. Sad to see good features on a terrible app like this
Gov ID for a free app
This is a communication app, you don’t even need to provide government ID to make a sim with any carrier, why the heck does Google need it? You guys suck terribly

I just wanted it to be known that I went through the trouble of submitting my photo ID, and was STILL unable to use a phone number with literally ZERO explanation. So-so
I use this app and phone number for my business line, but it’s only so-so, at best. Messaging really lacks basic features. Texting window is quite small and not able to see everything you’re typing. Must scroll. You cannot flag a message as unread, after reading it. It doesn’t paste website links very well. Copy, pasting, and editing are limited. Not nearly as nice as Apple messaging app, but I don’t want my clients messaging me on my private line, so it’s getting me by

Adding contact is BROKEN
This problem has persisted for a couple of years now and it has persisted across my new iPhone every year. When you add a contact, it never shows up in the contacts list no matter how long you wait. When you click on “done” there is no error mean and the contact never shows up. You have to go to contacts.google.com in order to add a contact. If you’re not gonna fix the feature, please remove it. Edit 2026: Yup, new phone and it is still broken. Nice QC having a basic feature broken for 5+ years. Edit in response to the developer: Yes, that’s obvious but it has nothing to do with you having the “+” button to add a contact that does nothing for five years.

Refuses to work
Why does the button to select a phone number not even work? I can’t make calls or frankly do anything on this app because of this bug blocking this crucial option.

It is not working on my app store but I am done downloading it on my Apple Store app but I really do like this app , and I have an iPhone 8 and it won’t download it because my other apps like YouTube, Facebook Messenger,Facebook,Instagram they are downloading very well except this and good voice, google meet they are not working very well wen it comes to update iPhone 8 .
