Great app!

Works great, helps keep track of my cold/hot sessions

Poor connectivity with garmin

Just can not get my garmin and go polar to sync. I have 10+ activities waiting to sync. Doesn’t matter how many times I for close the app or reinstall in they just won’t transfer. Needs to be a force sync not just sit there with both apps open and hope for the best

Sauna activity gone

Sauna activity missing from activity list and Apple Watch on v2.4.2. Reinstall didn’t fix.”

Better off with BB or and paper

Pay $2.75 just to see it is now $40/year or $7/month? Freakin scam. Very frustrating. Just make the app what it is you’re looking for.

Ice bath

My ice bath is alpineicebath used 3 times so far in 3 days no complaints as for this app still getting my head around it

Great concept, frustrating execution — bugs ignored for months

GoPolar has genuine potential and stands out as one of the most unique sauna wellness apps on the market, especially for those combining sauna and cold plunge sessions. The concept is excellent and there’s nothing quite like it.
That said, the Apple Watch app has been plagued with critical bugs since July 2025 with no fix in sight. It crashes randomly during session, freezes during cold plunge countdowns, and has persistent issues with music, either failing to start or completely desyncing with the music app playlist. Most frustratingly, if you’re running a combo session and it crashes, you lose the entire session. The workaround is to log each session separately to reduce loss of data, which defeats the purpose of the feature.
What’s most disheartening is watching new paid features roll out while these core bugs go unaddressed for months. For a wellness app built around discipline and consistency, the reliability just isn’t there.
Fix the watch app and this could easily be a 5-star experience.

Not worth the money

Not worth what they charge per month.

Garmin

Good app, but constantly hangs when syncing with Garmin. My Garmin records everything—this app doesn’t.
Developer never replies to emails, which is disappointing for a paid app. Could be great, but right now it just doesn’t work as it should.

Good when working

The app is solid, if it won’t decide to crash. Sometimes without any reasons the app decides to crash and forget your progress. It’s not overheating or cold crash as this is the only app that crash. Sadly support is not interested in investigating the issue.

App does not work

It is November and not a single activity has synced into the app since July. I pay for this app every month. Basically stealing money.

Good But …

Works flawlessly with my Garmin Epix Pro. However has a bug where it randomly starts the app during the night and power saver wakes me up.

Not supported in Aus

Just wondering why it lets you download the app in Aus but once you go to open it, it’s saying something wrong. Looks like it’s not supported in Aus. Is this the case?

Super App for Sauna

I recently found out about this app searching for a way to track my sauna sessions and make sure they sync to Apple Health. I have been amazed at how detailed and intuitive this app is and the developer is amazing at listening to feedback and requests. I can’t wait to see how this app continues to develop and what new features come.

General Comments - Sauna Data Needs Help

The app is good for cold plunging. Nicely integrated with my Apple Watch. On the sauna centric data the app is remarkably lacking. The Apple Watch cannot withstand the heat (at higher temperature levels) of a sauna. All the sauna data is therefore entered manually. Access to one’s heart rate as example is not possible. Manual entering of the sauna data is not efficient. For example, the temperature wheel only goes from 0 degrees to say 194 degrees in one direction from low to high) so between this and not being able to leverage your past sessions inputting values (say of session time and temp) makes the UI unnecessarily cumbersome. Another app has a small sensor that can be taken into the sauna and it tracks some variables? Also I don’t care for all the community/shared activity functionality wrt my cold plunging - I wish there was a way to mute that. Expensive app for simply being a partially integrated tracker for cold plunging.

This app is now a daily habit

I have been searching for years for a way to track my sauna and ice baths. This app does everything I wanted and more. I honestly use it daily unless I’m traveling for work.

Love it!

Love this app!

Awesome app

First, I have been cold plunging and winter swimming for 4+ yrs. During that time, taking pictures of water/air temperatures and writing journals etc. Volumenous pictures and notebooks. Now it's all on my wrist. Definitely a game changer. Also, recently I contacted the creator and they promptly got back to me with an answer to my question quickly. I have highly recommended this app to my friends and other cold water plungers. My only complaint is where was it 4years ago!!! Thank you for the app.

GoPolar App

Best app on the market to track cold and hot therapy. Updates lately have been awesome.

For anyone into contrast, cold dip or saunas

The entire app, whether it be a single event sauna or single event cold dip, right up to a proper contrast session combining both, the experience is smooth.

The Apple Watch integration took a second to load but once it did, it was so convenient to be able to set the parameters from the wrist.

Not on Garmin IQ store

Only reason I got the app was to use with my garmin watch. It’s not in the IQ or connect. Subscription is also way too high. I’d be willing to pay for app at 1$ a month max (if it worked as advertised) I have already cancelled my free trial and will be unlikely to ever try again unless there are major changes/updates.
