Unable to login to app
I have been unable to login to the Grabaseat app for a few years now! I have reloaded the app and had long discussions with airNZ support who basically told me they were unable to help, would find more information out for me and get back to me, which they never did!
Can’t log in
No matter how many times I try to change my passwords or delete and redownload the app I can’t log in using my existing air nz account details and I also can’t make a new account because I already have an existing account
Dead and should be grounded
Unfortunately, can’t give zero stars. 1.7 stars overall and previous reviews say it all.
Login not working (no forgotten password link) on iPhone17e iOS 26.5.1 .. asks me to register with AirNZ from where I’ve just checked my login details are still valid.
Fix it or remove it from APP Store, Air NZ.

Unusable without MFA
Unfortunately, grabaseat having been untouched for 2 years has left the app frustrating to use now that Air NZ has moved to passkeys and MFA. Grab a seat doesn’t support this, or use the identity.airnewzealand.com web login to sign in to an account. By the sounds of things, their poor support people aren’t aware of this issue. Please update your app, AirNz!

Can’t log in without a password so doesnt work for existing airnz accounts that only use passkey and doesn’t allow you to create a password when you create a new login

Can’t log in
If your air points account has a passkey associated with it then you can’t log into this app as the only option provided is username and password, which does not work if you have a passkey associated with your air points account.
Buggy
Can’t set a destination alert, keep getting error message. Have tried a few times over the last couple of weeks. Giving up
Update your app
Air NZ make enough money to update their app but have not made this a priority. What a poor business model to update the whole grab a seat login system and not update the app. Did the IT team strike too when the flight attendants did? The Air NZ image is fading.
Can’t log in
The app won’t let me log in using the same credentials as the website. It has no forgot password option, just login failed every time.
Login impossible
Air NZ has done away with password logins, so grab a seat asking for my password is asinine. I’ve never been able to use this app.

You’ve been advertising this app recently, but I can’t even log in because I now use a Passkey with my AirNZ account.

From the makers of one of the best Airline apps I have ever used also comes this abomination. I don’t get it. Did you get an intern to develop this? Did you give up after MVP? What gives?

Clearly Air NZ don’t care at all about Grabaseat. Haven’t been able to login for over a year… same issue as everyone else.

Unfortunately airbnew zealand have moved away from passwords to use passkeys , sadly this app had t. Been updated and is now impossible to log into , meaning we can’t get push notifications on the green fares .., please update security protocol on the app to match air nz app / air pints log in since they are using same credentials

Absolutely frustrating
The Grabaseat app hasn’t yet caught up with Air New Zealand’s choice of user credentials for logging in. It keeps insisting on the user entering a password, when the Air NZ website and app only allow TFA by code or Authenticator app. It does not give an option to reset your password, and the user also cannot do this on the Air NZ website anymore. Get with your own program Air New Zealand. How do you expect your customers to register for cheap flight alerts and buy cheaper flights… wait.. Ahhh.. you don’t! You want your customers to pay for the most expensive flights!! Right, now I get it!!

Someone needs to fix this app fast, poor design and outdated
Can’t log into Grabaseat as an Air NZ Koru and long time air points member won’t accept my password
Not remotely accessible to me, keeps saying password is wrong yet it works with Air NZ main site.
a zero stars me too.
like other reviewers, i can login through a browser, but the app tells me my pw is incorrect. also, i have notifications off, but i still get them every day. useless app.
