I been on green dot checking for 4-5 yrs. But lately when I go to sign in to my account it says green dot app needs to be updated to the latest version, go to the App Store and update the new version of green dot. Could it be a scam?

I tried calling three separate times and every time it says that they can’t find the card I’m trying to activate and it says to call when I have my information available

Don’t waste your time or money on this company.
I had one account closed before I had even used it.
They never returned my money. Ok it was only $20, but it was my money not theirs.
Then the second account was used and a monthly fee charges to use the bank. Then it was closed. No reason just closed.
I have not received the $186 back which was in the account and no reason why it was suddenly closed.
Poor customer service. No returned funds.

Is this even a real financial entity? I bought this card thinking that it would be good for a vacation. I uploaded money on it, neither the app nor the website works. The phone line is also useless.

if i could give green dot 0 stars i would. i’ve tried multiple times to log into my app and cancel the card and it tells me i need to go online to their website, when i go online it tells me i can’t cancel it there and i need to contact customer support. when you call their customer support number you are on hold FOREVER waiting on a real person to talk to. save yourself the time and trouble and NEVER get a green dot card!!!!!!

SCAM!
This app doesn’t work and I kept putting in my information and calling them. The phone would keep repeating the same thing over and over and over. Then it kept telling me type in my information and ssn and still didn’t let me log into the account!

This is the worse prepaid card I have ever had. The customer service is horrible and nobody will help you. I would give them 0 stars if I could.

Green dot you need to fix your app!! It needs updated the but when I come to my App Store there is no update! Now it is so hard for me to login in why do y’all have this much issues? Any other account I have been with never had this much problems… I will definitely be changing to cashapp… unless you fix your problems

I genuinely just wanted a gift card, and it went ahead and took $7 out of my account for a “fee”. I put a specific amount of money on that card so I could purchase something, and now I can’t. Genuinely the most stupid thing ever.

I’ve had this app for 15 years. Never had a problem with it. If you lose your card, you can still access your money with your app after you report it lost. Cash back!
