Poor quality buyers
I find the buyers on gumtree to be of poor quality, they do not appreciate good quality items , make stupid low offers and do not res-pondand when they offer to collect they do not turn up
Not a great design
It is so easy to click send on the pre-filled “is this available” message without confirmation. This has caused a number of embarrassing interactions.

Poor app, poor decision, poor communication on there half, just a poor app. All my ads get deleted for no apparent reason, even set up a new email, new account and still all genuine ads removed. Waste of time.

Love this app
Good way of getting items to people but very difficult to keep track.
This app is excellent for getting in touch with people to either sell or give items to. However if you have several individual items being advertised with a lot of interest, it is really difficult to keep track of what stage in the process each item is. An option to see all messages from customers grouped by item advertised in chronological order would be really helpful.

The pictures don’t load
I used gumtree for a while and it worked fine but lately I can’t seem to view any postings both on the website and the app. The adds seem to be loading perfectly fine tho… Unless this issue is fixed I don’t think I will be using this app anymore.

This app never works properly, and it is only full of bots, spam and time wasters.
If you like receiving loads of ‘is this available’ messages from bots who will waste your time you will LOVE this app.
My ads always get deleted for no reason which is never explained. When you do successfully manage to post the ad you will only receive interest from bots, scammers and spammers anyway.
I never get notified about messages. There has honestly not even been one single occasion where the app has successfully notified me about a message. By the time I know I have a message from a buyer, they have lost interest. I have checked the settings several times and I have all notifications switched on in-app and in the settings app, but it just doesn’t work.
Browsing never works either often and loads a blank page even after restarting the app several times.
Even when it does work, hardly any if the buyers are genuine. Most of it is just bots and spam.
This app is a total waste of time. Every time I use it, I regret it.
