Could be better
App is ok for what it is, however be aware that if you create a list you can’t see the list whilst shopping!!
Stop breaking features
The SmartShop app was really good, but now the feature has been moved into the Sainsbury’s app and redesigned so that it is completely counterintuitive. Why do I have to give my location and scan an on site qr code? Why does the scan function just continually repeating the same scan before indicating that it has scanned the first time? Any item unbilled in my shop should be charged to the app development team as they are wholly responsible for such a failure of a service.

Invalid number
The app claims my Nectar number is invalid. What to do? It’s wrong on that.
Poor in store user experience
The in store shop and scan function is a major downgrade from the old dedicated shopping app. This version is painfully slow and freezes often. On my last visit it failed to send the shop to the till and crashed it, meaning i had to scan everything manually. Won’t be using it again.
Missing useful ‘SmartShop’ shopping list function
Please, please, PLEASE introduce the ‘Smartshop’ shopping list function and allow us to import our existing lists.
After using SmartShop for several years this is one of the most useful functions within the app as it contains virtually every item that I’ve bought from Sainsbury’s during that period, including items bought weekly, monthly and annually.
The new ‘Smart List’, currently in Beta mode is not even close in terms of usability.
Please allow us (long term) users to import our existing SmartShop list.
Thanking you, with my fingers crossed.
