Won’t let me spend from Gusto Debit Card on gas

Extremely irritating. Initially I was able to use the card to fill up on gas, but ever since some recent update, every time I try to pump gas, it’ll only use up $1, but the authorization recognizes the full amount. So for example, if you wanted to spend $40 to pump gas, the card will authorize $40, but it’ll only pump $1 - what happens to the other $39? Welp, you just have to wait 2-3 business days for Gusto to recognize you didn’t spend the rest of that, but essentially you have no money from your Gusto Debit Card to work with for a few days. I don’t know what idiotic dev decided to have it work like this. And to be clear, this has happened 3 times now at 3 different gas stations (Speedway Express, Arco, Platinum Gas) so you can’t even tell me it’s because of those gas stations. Ironically, it’ll work fine if I just use it for DoorDash, which I rarely ever use in the first place. Long-story short, the Gusto Debit Card is absolutely useless and now just dead weight. Literally 0 reason to put any of your paycheck on it.

Advances and save options really help!!

Using the app is easy but also choosing to be paid directly from gusto from your employer has great benefits that I was able to enjoy after my first pay period.

Love

Gusto makes it’s so easy! I love the option for an advance before payday! It really helps!

They changed the pig

This would be a 5 star app, because it works as promised and I’ve used it for 2 jobs. Unfortunately, the recent update changed the pig that welcomes you when the app is opening, and he no longer has a hat.

New update has glitched how you clock in through the app

I don’t know why you companies keep trying to push out useless updates that break the app entirely. Oh cool, the pig is animated now but unfortunately I cannot clock into work so what’s the point. Fix your app

Fix your garbage app

Half the time I can’t clock in, this app always has problems

advance money denials

if it wasnt such a hassle to switch everything over to get my paychecks elsewhere i would not consider using this app. the interface is decent and the app isnt glitchy but the 'advance money' aspect, a core feature they advertise during sign up, only works maybe 30% of the time. they deny you for everything and there's zero way to appeal it. i haven't even bothered to try to talk to customer service because it would be no use as the automated system cant be turned over. they will let you advance, repay it every single time on time (if not early), and then proceed to deny you the same day you get paid over 'inconsistent paychecks' which could mean your paycheck varied by a whopping... $100. so if you repay the loan, miss a day of work or have something happen to you that puts you out a few days of pay, they'll still take part (or most) of your check and then deny you to access any money from your next check which completely screws you over for the next two weeks. it's actually one of the worst working systems i have ever witnessed.

Not recommended.

The recent update has made the UI look worse and functions like the “clock-in” button only work half the time making you close the app and reopen. Same issue with taking breaks.

And that’s another issue, the app doesn’t leave you logged in. Every time it’s closed and reopened you need to log in again; What a headache!

No more dark mode

Man they took dark mode away. Wtf! My driver is I. Dark mode. All other apps in dark mode. Not gusto. Lame!

Can’t clock in with new update

I noticed this morning that the app had a new logo / look. I didn’t think anything of it, as all apps evolve and update. However, I could not clock into work this morning. I had to go to the web browser to clock in, and it wouldn’t save my passkey credentials. I went back to the app to see if the clock out button works at least. I can clock out, but I can’t clock in. If this is the new way, I’m going to have to plan when to go to the web version to clock into work in a timely manner, and that’s not convenient.

Feature request

Hi, can you please add dark mode in the app?

very buggy

i clocked out and had the confirmation for it
than got an email saying i was clocked in for over 24 hours

Expensive fee

Increible

Baffling

Highly do not recommend. Unless you sign up for one of their credit cards or something weird like that they don’t pay you on time. I should be able to get the money I worked for on time, and the worst part is it actually cost them nothing to pay me on time they just choose to not pay me on time because I won’t get there credit card. so from an employee perspective this is a very low quality app. They gatekeep this feature, that is the point of the app. Pay me! lol. Nobody wants to do their job now a days lol.

Charges too high and transfers too low

Pay way to much to move my money and can only do small amounts. It’s a racket

Fees

There should not be this many fees to move money around

Gusto Sucks!

Can’t get all of my money out of here. Charging a fee to transfer my money is unacceptable. I got tricked into using this banking app in the first place and I’m glad I never had to rely on it. Gusto Sucks!!!

Easy to use

All the features of the app are easy to use and very convenient

No Option to Stay Logged In

Other payroll providers allow the user to stay logged in which enables the user to seamlessly clock in and out. With Gusto, you need to verify your login credentials, wait for the app to load the landing page, then wait for the app to load the time clock page, all before you can clock in/out. The option to remain logged in at all times would significantly benefit the user experience.
