Awful and unusable
Forced to update the app because haven’t used in a while. Ok. Update is completely unusable. Error messages dominate and certainly can’t be used as intended. I’ll actively book vans with another company now. Do better Hertz. It’s 2026.

Congratulations to Hertz
If you need a van to help with your move in London, the Hertz 24/7 app is THE BEST service by far. After wasting an afternoon trying to rent a van online with all sorts of difficulties, I saw a Hertz van on the road advertising the instant var hire service. I gave it a go and it turned out to be the perfect experience. Super easy and accessible, five stars in all respects. Bravo.

Absolute rubbish
App doesn’t work, made a booking online and not appearing in my bookings. Support is pretty much not existent

I get issues like connectivity ErrorTitle. And the buttons are showing their Java Script variable names insteas of the UX name
Took double the money
Scanned the QR code on the side of the van. Setting up your account is very time consuming. You can’t upload your documents from your photo album, so had to go home so I could scan them. In your agreement you can’t return the van with less than 25% fuel, my van was well into the red! Back was also very dusty, not ideal when picking up a carpet.
Lastly, rental was £20, including insurance, Hertz have charged me £40 and have no idea why. That makes this very expensive, it’s only £80 to rent this size van for 24 hours.
Won’t be using agin.

Great when it works
Really handy when it works to pick up a van for a few hours outside bnq. Unfortunately it appears to have logged me out and doesn’t recognise my number when I try to log in with no option to register.

Ich wollte die Miete um 1 Stunde verlängern aber die App lies es nicht zu. Der Grund wurde nur teilweise angezeigt und konnte nicht komplett gelesen werden.

waste of time
I have booked one van for house moving at 11 am, when I reach there I haven't got the agreement to sign,, contacted customer service through live chat waiting too long to get the reply, they told me they haven't assigned any van for me .and finally around 11:45 I got a van , when I opened the loading space it's full of rubbish. Contacted them again waited long and they told they haven't got any other options because no other van available,so they have to cancel the booking,
I finally locked the van and gone to home
at 12:35.
