Notifications sound still not working

Geolocation is on. Sounds are on. Heading out and coming home notifications still come through silent on iPhone. It’s been like this for a year. I’ve force-closed. I’ve logged out and back in. I’ve deleted app and reinstalled. Still not fixed it.

Hive

DO NOT BUY. My Hive has worked well for a couple of years. Suddenly it’s now not connecting my app to the hub. I have tried everything suggested on line, switching off, changing batteries, resetting WiFi etc. There’s no support from Hive unless you pay a monthly fee and the plumber also has no idea why it won’t connect so basically the app is useless which defeats the object of having the hive in the first place. Will not be purchasing any more items that require monthly fees, ring doorbell is the same. I also agree with another customer, why are only the five star reviews at the top when you look at reviews, they should be in date order. There are a lot of customers with the same issue but their reviews are only shown if you search the one star reviews. The Hive was sold to me with the feature that it could be controlled remotely through the app this is no longer a feature that works so in my view it’s been miss sold something that perhaps trading standards should be looking at!

Solar & Battery Insights

There has been a bug affecting the display of the solar & battery insights for months. They know about the bug, and there have been several updates but it’s still not been fixed! Makes the app much less useable for monitoring solar usage.

Great app

Wouldn’t be without it

Avoid Hive at all costs

The app gives you advice that breaks your thermostat and receiver - then they refuse to help fix the problems they caused unless you pay £40 per month…

Avoid hive if you can

Reduced motion bug

Generally I love the hive app, but there is an annoying bug in the current version. If you have reduce motion turned on, when you try to set the time or temperature for a schedule it takes about 20 seconds for the window to open. If you turn reduce motion off (in accessibility menu) then it works normally. It means every time I update the schedule I have to disable a phone-wide feature first. Testing reduce motion on/off would be a fairly basic QA test I’d have thought..,

Poor UX

User experience is poor. Boost feature is buggy.

Rubbish update

It used to be great. Now, if I want to change a setting eg schedule it can take over a minute from selecting the time setting that I want to change to actually getting the option on screen to be able to change it. Router and hive hub have both been rebooted and the app deleted and reinstalled. iPhone application.

I have implemented the suggested changes. There is a dramatic improvement.

However, from tapping on a time until the software responded was still 9 seconds. Are you happy with 9 second software responses?

Please implement dark mode.

Bloatware

I can do so many things now with new app except what I want to do, like the previous version where I could easily manage the heating and hot water schedule. And view a graph of when the gas has been on and off during the day. Can’t find that any more.

Poor customer care

My hive app has discontinued from my mobile device I have tried to reconnect multiple times, through the app and with the customer help but nothing has been successful I keep getting told the same steps to try restarting but to no avail. It’s impossible to chat with an actual person everything seems to be an AI chatbot that gets you absolutely nowhere

So so

When it works it’s fine. However the hub disconnects from the wifi randomly even though they are very close together. Keep having to reset the hub and then wait for about ten minutes for it to reconnect.

Steady decline, full of bugs

I’ve been using Hive for a while now, but sadly it has got progressively worse. Earlier iterations were clean and easy to use, but the current design is significantly less intuitive.

The app is now extremely buggy and unreliable. I am constantly receiving error messages claiming there is a WiFi connection issue or that devices are offline, despite everything in my home being powered on and operating as expected.

To make matters worse, there is a frustrating accessibility bug: you are completely unable to edit heating temperatures or schedule times unless you turn off "Reduce Motion" in your iOS settings on iPads and iPhones (iOS 18 and iOS 26). Requiring users to disable basic OS accessibility settings just to change their heating schedule is ridiculous.

Hive really needs to focus on fixing core functionality, stability, and accessibility for the next update.

Buggy

It’s alright when it works, but it’s very buggy, especially around the hot water boost feature. Do they not test software any more? I can’t believe that an app of this nature can’t be better than this.

Worst heating app

I have Hive and Worcester Bosch (easy control) and Hive is by far the worst app I’ve ever used. UX is shocking. Schedules are terrible to create and do not follow any logic. Press Add Time Slot about 20 times before it pops up. Pressing time slot takes the same - about 30 minutes just to build a simple schedule.

Disjointed

I seem to be one of the lucky ones that has only experienced a few minor problems over the 8 years. However my rating is regarding the app. TBH the app needs a complete overhaul. It’s disjointed, meaning old and new UI’s mashed together to give a very non consistent experience. I like the new look but please continue this through the entire app so it all looks and feels the same. Upgrading one or two of the most used features is not enough. I don’t understand that Hive cannot offer a more consistent app when other companies can. It feels like you’re more interested in pushing subscription based features than making your app more enjoyable to use. And last but not least. Update your app for use on iOS 27. All my other apps have done so and once again Hive will be late for the party AGAIN!!!!

Total control

Love having the Hive it gives me control of my heating with the thermostat and the ability to programme a schedule of heating and ability to boost stop if required - and it’s easy to use and set up

Useless

Never had connection issues with the old system

Schedules broken

For some reason when editing a heating or water schedule, tapping the start time, end time, or temperature just flashes the entry and does nothing. It doesn’t open the scroll wheel selector in the bottom section. Seems to work occasionally, maybe 5% of the time. Either that or it’s stupidly slow to show the selector, and due to me tapping multiple times it’s actually opening a minute later from the first tap?

Same goes when tapping the three dots in the schedule to bring up the copy option.
Makes editing schedules a pain in the rear.

Previous comments seemed to have a similar issue, and a dev said it was fixed. Doesn’t seem like it.

I’m on the latest iOS 26.6.2, and latest Hive app in the App Store I can see.

Hive, can you fix it please?

Does not work with iOS 26.6.1

Since updating iPhone the heating schedule cannot be updated in the app.
