Easy stays
Using Home Exchange has been a blessing for going places around the world using points we occurred having wonderful visitors stay in our guest house! We love the visitors and the place we were able to stay! ❣️❣️

Economical way to stay at places often otherwise unavailable
I have had dozens of home exchanges. It is a great economical way to stay at homes usually much nicer than I would normally get when I would pay to stay! I just pay my yearly fee and typically if available I’ll pay a cleaning fee.

Love this app
I had awesome experiences with HomeExchange. I met amazing places and neighborhoods. Every time I hosted my experiences were amazing too
Great for guests not for hosts - loyalty counts for nothing
HomeExchange seems very happy to take from generous hosts, but far less interested in looking after them when they need a little goodwill in return.
We hosted multiple guests, earned thousands of points, then discovered those points are effectively useless if your membership expires.
After supporting the platform as an outstanding host, I asked for a simple membership extension so I could actually use what I’d earned.
The answer was a blunt “no.” The most disappointing part wasn’t the policy, it was the dismissive and absolutely inflexible customer service.
Waste of time and effort.

accommodation cost. $$ Nil zero niente.
allows us all to share second homes for others to enjoy, that’s enough - with the bonus that we can stay any where in the world for free.

HE has been an incredible tool for welcoming guests into my home and being welcomed around the world. I have exchanged with some truly wonderful people!
It does take more effort to arrange exchanges than simply hitting the book button, and I have found overseas members more responsive than those in the US. I had a last minute cancellation once and difficulty reaching someone for help (probably due to my inexperience), but did eventually get reimbursed for most of the hotel costs I incurred.
I have really enjoyed this platform and have recommended it to many others.

Broken app, non-existent support
I can’t think of a bigger waste of money than my joining HomeExchange. They’re using a faulty database of zip codes; my correct zip code results in listing my home in an incorrect town hundreds of miles away. (It’s not just me; it’s my fellow townspeople). Even though my in-town location should be considered premium, outlying communities appear closer. I’ve tried “chatting” with support but that’s futile - requests go nowhere. They make it impossible to find a phone number, submit a bug report, or email for human customer support. Now I’ve received notification that my listing is fraudulent and auto-declined (although it seems to be live, albeit with a dramatically incorrect location). I wouldn’t join without seeing how homes near you are faring.

Amazing way to travel and share the world
Have been a member for a few years now . Traveled Europe for 3 months without paying for accommodation. Have met the best people having them stay at our place. Looking forward to see where our next adventure takes us.
