This app is worthless and non functional…. Don’t waste your money on a Honeywell thermostat if you plan on using it with a phone app!!!

I recently purchased a Honeywell Wi-Fi thermostat and downloaded the Honeywell home app to set it up. Unfortunately, the experience has been extremely frustrating. The biggest issue is account creation. The verification passcode either takes an unreasonably long time to arrive or doesn’t come at all. I attempted this process multiple times and it consistently failed or delayed to the point where I had to restart. This makes it nearly impossible to even begin using the product for a device that depends on connectivity… the set up process should be simple and reliable. Instead, it feels outdated and inefficient at this point. I’m stuck with the thermostat I can’t fully use because the app won’t let me get Past the initial set up…very disappointing.

Doesn’t work. Support admitted this and says it has “issues”. App opens but only partially displays main window information so it is not functional. Useless. Obviously not a priority for Honeywell to make this app work leaving customers who paid thousands of dollars for these TC500’s who and were fraudulently tricked into buying these high dollar thermostats out of luck. I regret this purchase. Class action anyone?
