If I could put a negative rating I would! I clicked the button to book a room for $224. It said there was an error try again. I tried again and it charged me $356!!
They claim it’s not a fee it’s a tax! And that it’s charged by the hotel. It’s not their fault. Of course there was no cancellation because it’s hotel tonight. I would not recommend this site to my worst enemy!

Total Nightmare Of Epic Proportions
Do you want the extra headache of an app to be unsure if you actually have a room reserved at a hotel? If so, this app is for you! Arrived at hotel to a “sorry, we’re sold out. We have no rooms. Try another.” Called the support line and they offered a refund with a “whoops, sorry, sometimes there is a discrepancy in the inventory.”

Confirmed reservation, but no room available
HotelTonight allowed us to book an overbooked hotel. We drove all way there with our kids only to be turned away and had to return home. It was a frustrating experience. We won’t be using hotelTonight again.

Hotels tonight has saved me multiple times where I was able to book a room last minute and did not have to pay exorbitant prices. I use it for all my bookings.

Lame
I booked a room in Manchester, New Hampshire before leaving Boston so I would have a place to stay that same night. I arrived to the hotel that I booked a room at and he told me they were overbooked, and did not have a room for me. Now it’s 1:30 in the morning and I can’t book online any place because they already think it’s tomorrow, And I’m exhausted and this is a hassle. Super lame.

I had an issue with a reservation and when spoke with James in Customer Service. James was empathetic and stayed involved until my reservation was 100% locked in and that the accommodations were acceptable. He made the trip memorable not because of what needed to be fixed but rather what he made possible to make the trip extra special. That's customer service!

Hotel or Hostel Tonight?
We booked a room and it was a HOSTEL without a bathroom. WTF. The room was so small we couldn’t even fit our luggage.
Fly by night
Made a reservation, paid for it, then got to the hotel that evening and they didn’t have anything for me. Spent more than a half hour on the phone with customer service. They admitted they screwed up but said couldn’t find anything else locally. They refunded my money but left me stranded and said c-ya. Actually there were other rooms available locally for about $5 more (I know because I got one). Wasted about 1.5 hrs of my time on an evening before I had to be at work at 4:00am. Cheap, Amateurs.
