Sucks Arse!
Don’t use. The app froze on me, then ended up double booking, and charging, me. Then, even after the hotel’s front desk person went out of her way to clarify that it was just me and that I didn’t need nor use a second room, Hotwire (truly owned by Expedia) had me stuck on a phone loop of blame passing back and forth to different people for 2.5 hrs, only to never (still haven’t refunded me. Worst customer service experience EVER!!!!

My trips tab
My trips tab always shows blank. I have to logout and log back in to see my trips. It is frustrating.
App Changes Make It Unusable
The current location doesn’t work and they removed the map option for search results which makes knowing the locations difficult when reviewing the results. Better off using another platform.
No support, does not work in Canada
Can’t switch to Canadian dollars because you need to enter a postal code and it only presents a number pad.
So you are left booking Canadian hotels in US dollars and have no idea what the exchange will work out to.
Broken links in the app so you can’t read reviews.

iOS app is basically non functional garbage!
Missing Rez, No Chat or Phone Support
I booked a hotel for an upcoming trip. I received an email confirmation (thankfully), but in the app it shows I have no upcoming itineraries or purchases. I'm so glad I saved the email because I'd be screwed otherwise. I tried using their chat function, waited 14 minutes without an agent connecting, even when I marked it as urgent. I called the phone number, and unless this was a flight for a package, they can't help me with a simple hotel reservation via phone either. Worthless.

Can’t book in the app, can’t sign in in the app. The app is completely useless. Just use the website I guess? This should just be deleted, what a joke.
Lost money and new poor UX
The new UI/UX has many bugs. For example if you click sign in after starting a booking the app freezes.
More importantly my last booking was at a hotel that was already full booked. I showed up and was told Hotwire never paid the hotel as well as they didn’t have any rooms. Hotwire didn’t refund me either. Frustrating process. The hotel remained on the app too after I tried to search for another one.
Not using hotwire again.

Can’t log in. Button doesn’t work. Can’t scroll. Literally can’t make a reservation. Come on guys this is terrible

Never again with Hotwire
Now - so much worse than it used to be. Booking a hotel blind used to result in some good deals on hotels. Not anymore. I paid more than it had been priced elsewhere for a low quality hotel experience. I have used Hotwire for years. My experience went from great to good to bad. Honest truth - this last one, I paid for the 2-person hotel as "non-refundable" and checked in and saw it was the lowest grade booking, left the room 100% empty/(used nothing) to stay somewhere else. Never again Hotwire.

Good deals
I have used the Hotwire app for years. It’s easy to use and has decent filter options to refine results. My only pet peeve is the app only supports up to 4 star hotel filtering but the website and mobile web support 5 star hotel filter options. Strange.
Won’t actually book
I have tried many times to use this app and when I click book now it says there is a problem. Useless

Can’t reserve a hotel room
Even though I’m signed in, when I went to reserve a room it asks me to sign in for faster booking. Once I tap in that, the app freezes! I see this is a recurring problem for other users. Needs to be resolved!

There’s no way to contact these people. There were no cars available when I arrived and still haven’t got a refund
App no longer works correctly
After 18 years of using Hotwire, the app has stopped working correctly. It always had glitches such as not being able to access to my trips page, but I'm now no longer able to book a hotel while logged in. I contacted Hotwire and they're only answer. Was to use the Mobil site so I guess the app is useless. This does not happen for cars only hotels where it prompt me to enter my name and gives you the option to sign in for faster booking, even though I'm logged in although the app freezes when I click on that option. You can no longer easily book a hotel or use any of your credit card information or Apple Pay. I hope someone from Hotwire reads this, and I have screen videos showing all of it.

App not working
Even though I'm logged in when I'm directed to check out for a reservation in the app, it provides a button to push to sign in for "quicker checkout. "Even though I am already signed in. So every time I check out, the app makes me manually put in all my information. Hotmail provides zero technical assistance, other than telling me to sign out of the app or delete it and then reinstall it. And I've already done all of this. And the problem still persists. So I deleted the app for good.

Whatever they have done to their app, has made it non functional on tablets. I went back a tried it again, they haven’t fixed a thing! This app so called service is complete garbage!
Hotwire is hot but app is not cool
Open up app and sign in. Search and choose your hotel. At the top of the page there’s a button that says something like “it’ll go faster if you login” even though you’re already logged in. Click the button, and the page freezes so you can’t scroll down and pay. I’d have thought they’d want paying to be easy. But no, you have to back out and try again, entering all your information by hand like it’s the 1900s or something.
Also because the app says you’re logged in but the hotel page doesn’t believe you, Apple Wallet isn’t an option so you have to reveal your credit card’s actual number.
If my number gets stolen yet again, so help me G-d.
