Easy to use

Very easy to use and good for keeping things organized

Helpful

I love housecall pro

Not working good

Over the past six months, there have been several outages where either payments, the chat function, or other features failed to work; things are constantly being updated, yet something is always breaking. This happens on a regular basis, so, honestly, I cannot recommend this program for business use.

Confusing, Complicated

If you want a boondoggle of an app to frustrate you at nearly every turn.m, this is the one.

Can’t Edit Client’s Address in the iOS App

Technicians and business owners cannot edit a customer’s service address directly in the Housecall Pro iOS app, and this is extremely frustrating.

Sometimes you only discover the problem after driving to the wrong address. Then you may have to drive another 40 minutes to the correct location. In the mobile app, the only option may be to delete the job and create it again, which can also remove important information such as photos, payments, notes, and other job details.

Yes, the address can be changed through the web browser, but field technicians rely on the mobile app while working. The browser version and the iOS app should have the same basic workflow and functionality.

Editing a service address is a basic and essential feature for any field service application. Housecall Pro should add this option to the iOS app as soon as possible.

DO NOT USE

My company has been using this app for about a year now and has provided us with nothing but headaches there is no helpful tech support and constantly crashes. This is hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had with a software that’s supposed to help.

Frustrating

If you are in an area where cell coverage is spotty This is not the app for you. A matter fact you need for reception or your pictures are not gonna load. Actually, the Abbott itself will not load. I wouldn’t recommend this app to a preschool who’s running a lemonade stand. We were told when we started using this app, that we would not have any of the problems we are currently having. What I’m trying to say is this app is absolute garbage.

They do not stop calling!

I downloaded the app and created an account. I’m just getting my business started so that’s as far as I needed to go right now. I just wanted to play around with it to see if I liked it. They have since called me numerous times a day up until 10pm! I told the first guy named George to stop calling, I would reach out when I’m ready. Now someone new is calling. They are worse than pushy car salesman. Find a different service to use. Not worth the headache.

Several issues

So I have been using this app for the last few months for the company I work for. I have found it somewhat user-friendly and on the other half it’s not.. I need to be able to have dark mode because the white gives me migraines. And it’s just harsh on your eyes. Next, I still have not been able to get our caller ID to pop our company name they chose to work on one issue and not both or follow up on the second one, although I asked several times. If you want to text another phone number on a customer’s account if it’s not the primary, you are not able to. There are several things with the AI system that could be improved on. One being able to customize what the AI agent says for instance I do not like how it asks who would you like to work with in the company? However, if it’s a first time Customer, how do they know who are the employees? Next, we had no idea that text messages were not going out to certain companies. When we were going through the app to text, I only figured it out when I got on the desktop version, this is the same for emails. The Pipeline is not even useful, there needs to be more functions.ex: we should be able to build a list of customers who need to be serviced at some point to be serviced that reminds us to call them, but that’s not what the pipeline is even used for. The sales people made it out to be real useful but it’s not. Just like the marketing. I can do the same thing through our website. The only plus to this app honestly is the scheduling and the invoicing. I cannot stand not being able to talk to somebody. Everything is through a chat.. And then it has to go to a different tech and then another tech very unprofessional.

Very useful app

Photos are all uploading in random orders amongst many other technical issues that havent been fixed

My company has called numerous times to have this issue resolved as they have been happening for weeks now. Making my business look and appear less professional when clients and homeowners receive their invoices. This is a catastrophic and a huge failure on house call pro’s part and makes the invoices appear to be very unprofessional

Nice app

Easy to track customers and jobs

More changes screwing it up

I have been with these people for years and they are changing things so quickly for the worse now a robot pretending to be me, starts a conversation with my prospective customers then leaves em hanging if I don’t jump in. I just wanted to” we will call you as soon as possible “ that’s all I want

Their software updates get worse and worse and are not user-friendly

I don’t recommend using this software. Number one they are a woke left-wing company and number two, they send out updates that are really terrible and are not user-friendly. When you reach out to them to have them change the updates, they just tell you it’s out of their control.

Yee Yee

Good customer and tool to help run your business.

The very best

I am so thankful for Housecall Pro, it makes the administration so much easier and so much more organized than our previous system. I would recommend it to anyone.

HCP —-> Think… then fix it. My criticism is constructive and valid!

Overall, it’s a good app, however: It causes a lot of problems due to HCP design team being stubborn.
A fair number of companies operate in RURAL areas- often there is little to no cell service!
1. When I arrive to the job and press ‘start my time’… just LOG my start time in the app, don’t time out on me and make it look like I didn’t start my job On Time! (When I do finally have cell service, you can update the system!) <— not difficult to design in your app.

2. Great, I finished my job… (sometimes it will let me start, but not finish a job… which assigns more time to the job and makes it look like I spent too much time on the job. AGAIN, same as point number 1. Just log it on my app and update the server when I do have cell service.

3. Yes, my job is finished… time to go to the next job. I pull up my schedule and it’s blank… WHY?!
Because I have little to no cell service, HCP, in their infinite wisdom made all my jobs disappear!! Good luck figuring out where to go for your next job!!!
AGAIN, if I have little to no cell service, don’t make my jobs disappear in an attempt to update my schedule. My jobs should ALWAYS be visible!!
This is also easy to design.
BTW, HCP does this in case there a change in your schedule, but it’s worse to have all my jobs disappear than to have a schedule change not noted. It just doesn’t work good in Rural areas.

Simplicity of dispatch

Easy to use. Love it.

wow

Totally unnecessary and kind of annoying. I get it but let’s be real some people know what they are doing and have been doing this a while. For a guy like that this entire app is an unnecessary extension of there day. Luckily I ignored the app the first day and still finished the job and got out alive. After work i spent time checking off lists and doing what was necessary to finish the job in the app. but at that point it was 5:30 snd I hot out at 4:30 so all this app did is waste an hour of my day. Thanks. Im sure its doing more for others but as a guy throwing materials up it makes no sense. I think this is more for the customers and making communication easy..?

Do not use….

I don’t even know where to start. This is, without a doubt, the worst field application I’ve ever used. It’s unreliable, frustrating to work with, and the issues are severe enough that they’re literally costing me money.

The worst part is that switching to another platform is not a simple process once you’re invested. Think carefully before choosing this app—you may find yourself stuck with a product that creates more problems than it solves.
