I have been with HSBC for over 35 years, having originally banked with Midland Bank before it became HSBC. Throughout that time they have supported me through so many important milestones in my life, from my university years and first job, to buying my first car, managing savings and ISAs, credit cards, and loans.
What has always stood out is how easy and reliable HSBC has been. Their app is fantastic, simple to use, intuitive, and makes managing all my finances effortless. Whether it's checking accounts, moving money, monitoring savings, or managing credit cards, everything is straightforward and convenient.
Over the years HSBC has earned my trust time and time again, to the point where I would never consider moving my banking elsewhere. I've been so happy with the service that all of my children now have accounts with HSBC too.
After 35 years as a customer, I honestly cannot rate HSBC highly enough. Excellent service, great products, and a banking experience that has evolved with me through every stage of life.

Terrible customer service and archaic banking app
Banking app is abysmal. Stuck in the Stone Age with the user interface and user experience. Using Monzo and Revolut - those apps are much more intuitive and feature rich. HSBC is very slow to bring any type of enhancements whatsoever.
Very terrible banking experience. Cannot even open secondary accounts or pots in the app. I do not recommend banking with HSBC and definitely don’t advise using their app. Garbage!

I am just moving a large chunk of my savings out of this account. It is extremely worrying the lack of security when you use online banking on your mobile phone it’s just one pin number and you’re in! I honestly think it’s the worst bank for Online security at all the banks I use. there is not a two-step verification process, which is really worrying when people have got savings and it’s just so easy to access..
