Old app was much better
I had both the old and the new on my phone but when I updated my phone I can no longer get the old app. The new one is too complicated to do just the basic things - like water every 3 days- I can’t see at a glance what is going on and have to click into every zone and I REALLY miss the ability to see how much rainfall in the last week - with such variable weather in our area it is not ideal to have set watering schedules

Additional features w/WAND but constant problems
I have offline mode on but on multiple occasions when the controller is “not connected” it won’t start the program, which is pretty inconvenient since I have it set to run early morning (4am-7am).Tonight I had an issue that I ran multiple zones manually and the last zone didn’t stop when the 17 minute run completed on the app, so it stayed running for an additional 30 minutes (47 total)until I did the evening house check and had to turn the controller off (was showing “online”) and then back to “run”. Luckily I was just watering in pelletized carbon soil amendment because otherwise there’s a good chance if it was fertilizer it would have been washed into a pile and likely burned the grass.
Connectivity is also an ongoing problem. My WiFi router is just inside the house on the wall between the garage and living space (20’ from controller) and still the connection just disconnects for no apparent reason. When it is connected it’s showing all the bars (great signal) on router and when connecting via the app setup wizard it indicates signal strength is “high”.

Wish I got updates on holding off watering
We have been in a heat wave in AZ and yes some rain but system holds off and it’s 105 -110 over several days and no watering?
So So
While having access remotely is great, the app often misreads the weather. Today the lawn was watered despite the pouring rain. Disappointing.

Upgraded to the wi-fi version about two years ago and haven’t regretted it. Easy to use features and to set schedules. I like the remote access from anywhere in the world in case I have to add extra watering or to pause it. My subscription to the weather monitoring expired which takes away the “set it and forget it” aspect but if you have a smartphone the weather is on there too. Would highly recommend. Better than running down to the box each time to program or run it and yelling up “is it on?”

Just too many connectivity problems. Watering when I suspended the program… in the middle of rain storms. Pretty much garbage for what I paid. Looking forward to switching this controller out ASAP
