Illegal Activity

I am convinced that this app is operating illegally and unethically and probably needs a serious audit. I ended up clicking on the indigo blue chip link by mistake ONCR and now I am unable to get past the indigo blue chip login regardless of how many times uninstall and reinstall the app. Which means when I uninstall the app it isn’t clearing out all its data from my phone. There is NO way I can now go back to the normal login page and therefore the app is completely unusable to me. It was already a third grade useless app but now with this forced indigo blue chip login page mandate, I am convinced it’s also ethically questionable. No idea who the stupid technology team is behind this. Utterly pathetic.

Improvement potential

As a frequent traveller, I feel there is a lot of room for improvement in the IndiGo app. Here are some things that would make the app much more convenient and traveller-friendly:
1. Boarding Pass tab / easier access to boarding passes
One should not have to go through so many steps just to access their boarding pass.
Currently, the process is:
My Profile → Trips → Add PNR number → Save this trip → Add IndiGo ID → Go to email to find the IndiGo member number → Come back to the app → Add the IndiGo member number → Click on Boarding Pass → Keep the boarding pass open.
This is far too many steps, especially when you are already at the airport and need quick access to your boarding pass.
There should be a dedicated Boarding Pass tab where the boarding pass can be accessed immediately once the trip is added. The boarding pass should also be available to add to Apple Wallet/Google Wallet for easy access. This is particularly important because not everyone has reliable internet connectivity at the airport, and you should not have to depend on an internet connection just to access your boarding pass.
2. “Deals” and “Book Now” tabs
The Deals and Book Now tabs could be combined into one tab. Having two separate tabs for these seems unnecessary and takes up valuable space in the app.
3. IndiGo ID when booking for multiple people
If I am booking tickets for 7 people and I am the person who always pays for all 7 tickets, I should be able to add my IndiGo ID to the booking so that I can receive the applicable points/rewards.
It doesn't make sense that the person making the booking and paying for the entire group has to manage the IndiGo ID separately for each passenger. There should be an option to associate the booking with the person who is actually making and paying for the reservation.
4. Gate number and other flight details
Maybe I am checking too early, but 2 hours before the flight, one should be able to see the gate number and other important details about the flight directly in the app.
For a frequent traveller, having the gate number, boarding information, terminal information, and other real-time flight details clearly visible in the app before arriving at the airport would make the experience much smoother.
Overall, the app should focus on reducing the number of steps required for the most important things a traveller needs: accessing the boarding pass, finding flight information, managing bookings, and accessing loyalty information.

Very bad app

Ive never seen any other airline app glitch so badly. Any page i try to open resets and brings me back to the start. Very frustrating. Rather fly another airline instead

Worst Flying Experience

I have never been this late ever in my life my flight in from Amsterdam was 2 hours late for no particular reason then the connecting flight was delayed by 7 hours. Terrible staff too very unfriendly

Does not remember my bookings.

One of the basic thing to do is remember my bookings. I have to input the booking number every time.
