Improvement potential
1. Boarding Pass tab / easier access to boarding passes
One should not have to go through so many steps just to access their boarding pass.
Currently, the process is:
My Profile → Trips → Add PNR number → Save this trip → Add IndiGo ID → Go to email to find the IndiGo member number → Come back to the app → Add the IndiGo member number → Click on Boarding Pass → Keep the boarding pass open.
This is far too many steps, especially when you are already at the airport and need quick access to your boarding pass.
There should be a dedicated Boarding Pass tab where the boarding pass can be accessed immediately once the trip is added. The boarding pass should also be available to add to Apple Wallet/Google Wallet for easy access. This is particularly important because not everyone has reliable internet connectivity at the airport, and you should not have to depend on an internet connection just to access your boarding pass.
2. “Deals” and “Book Now” tabs
The Deals and Book Now tabs could be combined into one tab. Having two separate tabs for these seems unnecessary and takes up valuable space in the app.
3. IndiGo ID when booking for multiple people
If I am booking tickets for 7 people and I am the person who always pays for all 7 tickets, I should be able to add my IndiGo ID to the booking so that I can receive the applicable points/rewards.
It doesn't make sense that the person making the booking and paying for the entire group has to manage the IndiGo ID separately for each passenger. There should be an option to associate the booking with the person who is actually making and paying for the reservation.
4. Gate number and other flight details
Maybe I am checking too early, but 2 hours before the flight, one should be able to see the gate number and other important details about the flight directly in the app.
For a frequent traveller, having the gate number, boarding information, terminal information, and other real-time flight details clearly visible in the app before arriving at the airport would make the experience much smoother.
Overall, the app should focus on reducing the number of steps required for the most important things a traveller needs: accessing the boarding pass, finding flight information, managing bookings, and accessing loyalty information.
Very bad app
Worst Flying Experience
Does not remember my bookings.
Just a garbage app design
Worst Airline to travel
Worst app ever
App not user friendly
Extremely disappointed with IndiGo’s customer service.
The WhatsApp support has not responded for over two days. Emails have gone unanswered. To make matters worse, the website’s support system is not even sending the OTP required for verification, making it impossible to get assistance through that channel as well.
As a paying customer, I find this level of service completely unacceptable. When customers need help with something as basic and important as receiving their flight ticket, there should be a reliable way to reach support.
Very poor customer service experience so far. I sincerely hope IndiGo improves its customer support and communication with passengers.
Horrendous UX
App Functionality is terrible
Poor Programming
Broken App
Kind of good app
Better make every available button workable Mr Developer and Team. The Airline itself isn’t very marvellous in terms of service, at least the app can give a better and smoother experience.
Terrible Monopolistic corporation
Worst airline ever
Terribly great service pnr- S94LHz
Please do not Use EMT or indigo guys.
Slow non responsive app
Exceptional but inconsistent service
My concern however is about premium services that Indigo provides such as fast forward and the new first in first out service. The fast forward service sometimes works well and you reach the flight without any hassle if you are boarding a large flight via the air bridge. However when you need to board a smaller flight it becomes almost useless as staff at different airports apply it differently. For eg: At Rajahmundry airport it is effective as the staff sends fast forward and the first few passengers on a separate bus. In Bangalore airport all the passengers are in the same bus so once you reach near the plane there is a queue, however fast forward boarding pass holders are allowed ahead even if it is a different zone being called. The worst experience was yesterday at Hyderabad airport. Fast forward and the passengers of the first zone were sent on a separate bus which was great but once we reached, There was a staff member called Bhyresh who was strictly boarding seat wise and did not let the fast forward customers on. There were two of us. He argued with both of us and although we reached in the first bus we had to start in the sun for a long time since he waited for the second bus with the rest of the passengers and boarded them as well. I am thinking of being selective in future about which flight to purchase this service on. The other premium service called first in first out is even worse. None I mean not even one staff member even knows what it is! Indigo we expect much more from you. I hope you take this feedback and do something about it. I am a blue chip tier 1 customer anda very regular user of your flights. Thank you.
