Multiple breakdowns in 1st 8 months and hard to reach an on shore technician for help

I had the machine replaced 2 times already and it is having the same issues( less the 87% oxygen, replace columns, within 3 months of supposedly a new machine, not great for a $4000 purchase

Very useful app

Very useful app thats helps checking the oxygen flow of my device, purchase accessories from patient portal and check my heart rate from apple watch all at one place.

Spotty App

Can never get the App to connect. Just searching for the Inogen One G5 Bluetooth connection never locates the device. Once you do connect you need to enter your last name and DOB. If you’ve purchased a used machine you’re not registered with Inogen. So you can’t use the App. Just terrible.

Needs work

The old Inogen app had battery cycles as part of the report which was nice. This version is always disconnected so you have to reconnect the Bluetooth all the time if you want to see how the unit is functioning and to check on battery level

Worthless AP

I recently tried to connect my Inogen Rove 6 to the AP on my iPhone. I can’t even get past where it says to identify verification. It says set up fingerprint, face recognition or passcode. When I tell it ok, it immediately takes me to my settings. I always use passcodes, but I can’t find any place to put in a passcode on the AP settings or anywhere else. Have tried contacting Inogen and can get nothing but put on hold. As far as I’m concerned, the AP is worthless as well as their customer service is horrible! Don’t bother downloading!

Waste of time

I finally was able to connect this with my G5 but it won’t update software and now it says disconnected! It also consistently has the wrong status of the charge! Waste of time! I just deleted it.

Pointless App

I’ve found the app to be extremely unreliable and, for the most part, not very useful. Connection is spotty at best, which makes even the basic functions frustrating to use. The one feature I consistently rely on is checking the battery level of my Rove 6, since I usually keep it tucked away in a backpack. Beyond that, there really isn’t much the app brings to the table.

What would make a big difference is if the app actually allowed control over the device itself. The ability to power the machine on or off remotely or adjust the flow rate through the app would add real value and convenience. As it stands, though, the app feels more like an afterthought than a fully developed companion tool.

It has potential, but without meaningful functionality or reliable connectivity, it’s hard to see the point of keeping it installed. Right now, it feels like wasted space on my phone rather than a useful extension of the device.

Having to onboard at every use

The app works great until you close it. When you reopen the app, you are met with initial setup again. In order for the app to work, I can’t turn of my POC or close the app. Either of these makes me onboard again. I just like that it is supposed to help keep track of maintenance and shows my stats but doesn’t keep anything after closure. Really annoying. App needs work.

Bluetooth

Cannot connect with iOS PHONE. Period

Nearly useless

Requires I sign in with all info like I had never used it before. Today it won’t let me sign in at all stating: the app is too busy. I’ll make do without this USELESS app

Oh well

In this latest version the folks at Inogen decided to make users sign a very long, very difficult, convoluted binding contract for no good reason. It smelled like a trap so I dropped the app all together… not worth the trouble.

Rio Grande guy

Love my Concentrator, not so much the app! The app works good, BUT after 4-5 days completely disconnects from my G5 and I have to re-enter all my information ie name etc and reconnect with the app. Meaning while all information is LOST ie servicing, canula time in service. Can we get this fixed!

Worst update ever

The latest forced update is not usable at all. The Bluetooth connection drains the phone battery within a few hours. Every time the app is opened I have to reregister my account and device. Do better Inogen!!!

App got stupid

This app used to give information on column life remaining, hours used, and oxygen concentration. The Performance tab where all those were available has been eliminated. Shame on Inogen.

Frustrating

I have dozens of Bluetooth devices, this is the most finicky of them all. It keeps losing connection to POC and reconnection seems like never the same way twice. And then, it requires me to input all my registration information again. Also, it would be helpful if the App could at least allow you to change the O2 level instead of just reporting it. Earth to Inogen: FIX IT!

A piece of garbage

I’ve only had the Rove 6 for a week and I have had to pair the app to the concentrator at least 6 times and reregister the device each time. How can a company charge thousands of dollars for hardware and the put out a support app of such poor quality? They should be ashamed.
It actually deserves a negative rating but a rating of 1 is the lowest you can give.

Runs battery down

Seemed to include lots of the important information from my POC, but was constantly running in the background and was quickly deleting my phones battery. So took it off my phone. Sad😕

Rio Grande guy

My principal issue with the app is that it keeps in 24/7/365 contact with my phone! Even when the machine and phone is @ 100% AND unplugged! It draws down the battery to 0% in 6 hours on a new iPhone 16. I like the information that the app provides especially when I am out and about. If there was a way to shut down the or put the app to “sleep” when the portable Imogene unit is turned OFF!

Mostly Useless

Other than counting days since cannula and filters have been replaced, the app has little if any usefulness. Where is the number of hours of use? How about some real numbers about diagnostic information like O2 quality and delivery so I can watch to see if things might be degrading and can anticipate a problem, send it in have it fixed before it fails in the middle of use in the middle of a stadium in a city over a thousand miles from home as my previous one did. Simply indicating that its health is ‘good’, is hardly reassuring. Sorry Inogen. If you’re going to put out an app, make it a good, useful one or don’t waste your time and mine.

Getting better but a ways to go

I loaded the new app back in May and had a few suggestions as to the lacking of information available that was on the old app. Apparently support doesn’t read any of the reviews because nothing has happened to update the new app. Reading a lot of the reviews people are as disappointed as I am that all that Inogen is interested in is selling units.

Uploaded the new app today V2.2.0 and it does have some improvements but is still missing items from the first app which I liked. It told you battery cycles so you could have some idea as to time to order a new battery. It also had the first connected statement which was nice to see how old the unit was before failure. The new app has where the device was bought but nothing else about the company but spaces are available for the info such as phone number, address, web site, etc. Keep improving the app as it does have some uses that I depend on!
