New AI features need improvement
I've been using the new AI photo auto-categorisation feature during property inspections and wanted to share some feedback.
The close-up photo categorisation is excellent. It correctly identifies many items and has the potential to save a lot of time, particularly for new users learning the app.
However, I'm finding the room/component categorisation can be inaccurate when a photo contains multiple items. For example:
A photo intended to document a wall may also include part of a window or the edge of a mirror.
The AI detects the window or mirror and automatically files the image under Windows or Mirrors instead of Walls.
During inspections, it's common for photos to include surrounding features, so this happens quite frequently.
As an experienced user, I now spend more time moving photos back into the correct sections than I did before the AI feature was introduced. In its current form, the feature is reducing productivity rather than improving it.
Some suggestions that may help:
Prioritise the dominant subject or the centre of the image rather than any detected object.
Allow users to choose the categorisation method (e.g. "Primary object" vs "All detected objects").
Learn from manual corrections so the AI improves over time.
Provide an option to disable auto-categorisation while still using AI to suggest categories.
Display the AI's suggested category but wait for confirmation before automatically moving the photo.
I think the feature has great potential, and I'm looking forward to seeing it improve.

Hi C Vanilla, Thank you for taking the time to give such detailed feedback on the new features, we really appreciate understanding how our clients are engaging with our products as it is what shapes the solutions we build. We've just released version 2.0, which improves a lot about the overall experience and makes categorisation noticeably more accurate. We're also committed to keep refining it with regular updates, so it will constantly be improving in the background. That said, if categorisation isn't for you just yet, you can switch it off entirely under Settings in the Camera view. With it disabled, everything you capture goes straight to "Overall" in the area, so you can keep shooting the way you always have while still getting the new UI with its speed improvements. After purchasing a small Chromebook years ago for my reports only to find out it runs on Android - I’m STILL waiting for an Android version of the app to be released!

Time saving
Absolute perfect. Time saving. 1st time ever enjoyed doing chattels.
Severe lag and overheating since recent update
Our agency relies on Inspection Express daily, but since an update a few months ago the app has become extremely laggy and causes noticeable overheating and throttling. I’m using an iPhone 16 Pro Max, so this shouldn’t be a hardware limitation.
The camera integration is also clearly broken — the first launch almost never focuses correctly, which slows down inspections significantly. I’ve confirmed with other agencies that they’re experiencing the same issues.
Please prioritise performance optimisation and camera fixes. The app is critical for our workflow but the current version is very frustrating to use.

Best Inspection App on in the market.
Inspection Express is hands down the best property inspections app in the market. Not only has this app got all the best features with ease of use, but they also they have the best technical support team available on hand for any queries one may have. I have been working in property management now for over 10 years and I have used all the apps, this one is definitely better than all the rest.

Hard to navigate
I personally find it difficult to navigate, the easy part is taking the 360 photos but I don’t like the rest of it. Maybe over time I might find it easier.

Been using this program for a few months now. Have experienced a lot of app crashes mid work. AI comments are not very accurate and have found that program is not as time saving as told.
Do love the Paperless condition reports and support has been good with answering any questions we have.

Too Many Updates
Fantastic app with plenty of support and changes however an update every single week or so is far too frequent.
Every time i need to conduct a PCR I’m required to update the app. Maybe try pushing the updates out to once a month.
It’s amazing that the app is continuously getting improvements but an update a week is silly.

Easy to use
Great for cross checking entry & exit reports - includes renters feedback & comments when returning.
Can reuse the comments again for another entry saving time - just need new photos.
Routines are so much easier including photos on report.
