Location use concerns
The app has begun constantly pulling my exact location which is causing an unremovable blue GPS arrow to take over my iPhone’s Dynamic Island every time it does. Any time I leave the house or am moving around away from home, the blue arrow triggered by this app shows up in the Dynamic Island and renders it useless for anything else even if I force close the app. I cannot figure out how to shut this “feature” off. I am running the most recent version of the app as of this writing. I’m ready to delete the app if this isn’t fixed - it is incredibly annoying.
Additionally, I echo the issue others have mentioned with the app constantly logging out. This has been an issue for years and nothing has been done to fix it. It’s supposed to be usable in an emergency. It should stay logged in, or at the least, should work with Face ID so logins can occur quickly in times of crisis.

Doesn’t update
When I open the app, it says I need to update. But when I try to update, the App Store does not show any updates available- it simply opens the app, which says it needs updating. Endless loop, never opening the app.

The app logs out when traveling
Should work offline. You must be able to access the information regardless of connectivity location, etc
Couldn’t even get set up to work
Every time I tried to set this app up, I got an error message when I tried to enter the code the app sent to my phone. I contacted the company, and they tried to fix it, but I got the same error message the next time I tried to complete setup. It’s a thumbs down for me.
Requires log in every time app opens
Not impressed. App requires sign in every time I open the app which is excessively slow for an app that might be needed in emergency
Now useful, daily
I barely used to open it. Login is now super efficient and reliable, and the features of app itself are massively enhanced. I can see the benefit of using the app daily, particularly with location activated.

I love the new look and feel, so much better and faster to load. The check in process is a simple click.
Another rubbish update
Why is it everytime this app has an update it kicks you out and then now I can't log in. Just says user profile couldn't be retrieved, please try again later.

Not functional
I stayed in country but I can not use the system of check-in. This is very bad.
Interface is terrible
The interface is awful—it looks flimsy and unprofessional. Honestly, it feels like something a 12-year-old threw together for a school project. It doesn’t inspire any confidence or reliability at all.
Cannot access
No customer service at all. I can’t imagine if you needed help this app would provide any. In spite of my previous initial set up of the app, it seems the developer makes it impossible to access it, even having previously set up facial recognition sign in. I can’t imagine what the heck one does if one needed this in a crisis or emergency. Frankly, not sure it’s worth the memory it takes on my phone. That said at this point I couldn’t even tell you either way. Terrible experience.

Very slow app.
Poor user interface and experience
Very clunky low level app, even the sign in process is super cumbersome . Really not suited for the topic of traveler safety and security. It needs to be greatly improved and the functionality has to be overhauled.
Keeps logging you out of the app
I really don’t understand why the ISOS travel app has to keep logging you out. You only find out it has done so when you have likely already travelled and need to use it. In this case, having to go through the password reset process in the middle of an incident is ridiculous. We ended up not even using the service this time as a result.

Why no biometric log in?
The app is great, thankfully I haven’t needed to use it in an emergency. I just logged in today as part of a travel risk assessment project and my password wasn’t working, maybe from switching phones. It was a hassle changing it, more so if you were in need of support. So why no fingerprint or facial recognition login? It would make so much sense.

No confidence at all
After installing and registering this app sent me 3 notifications saying my trips had been sync’ed, but they weren’t. My Trips is empty. But when I try to enter a trip myself it says I can’t because it is currently loading them. Well, it’s been “currently loading” for about 14 hours now. In a crisis, would I turn to this thing for help? Not a chance.

Wrong location
My app is set up to use location services while I am using the App (I don’t want it to use it in the background). While using the app, it currently shows my location as Indonesia, while I am located in Australia. It is therefore trying to provide advice that is completely irrelevant to me.
