Worth the price

I used the free trial on my first trip to Europe. I was with a tour and enjoyed my first day with our guide, while most in my group slept on the boat around Venice.

On my second European trip, i had NO jet lag. I hit the ground ready to go.

For me, it's harder to follow on my way east/back home, but I still transitioned back to EST by my second day.

If you're traveling a few time zones, at least try your first trip free. Do the best you can with the suggestions. I think you'll decide to use it every (overseas) trip.

Definitely works

I had a very, very good experience with the plan this app produced for me. I am in my late 50s and have struggled mightily with jet lag the last couple of times I have traveled overseas. Using a Timeshifter plan as I left and returned from a month overseas, I had minimal jet lag at all. Highly recommend!

Push notifications didn't work

I really enjoy this app and have used it for 3 international trips. However I purchased the one time use version for my trip last month, and for some reason it didn't send me any notifications for my trip home! I was so busy I didn't notice until I was on my long haul flight home. I opened the app and it had a schedule for me, but I was never notified! I double checked that I have push notifications turned on still, as I got them before my trip departed. Really felt like a waste of money because I did suffer from jet lag quite a bit when I got home. Thankfully it was only a 5 hour time difference so I recovered after a few days. How can I make sure this doesn't happen on my next trip??

pleasantly surprised how well this worked

As a frequent traveller I have suffered my fair share of jet lag over the years. I used Timeshifter for the first time for trip from Vancouver, canada, to Iceland, onto Venice, with a return that took me back to Iceland, and back to Vancouver. I managed to follow the App’s suggestion as closely as I could and honestly suffered no discernible jet lag. I look forward to the continued use of this App to manage travelling across time zones. I must confess I found the results incredible.

It actually works!

Have used this app a number of times from New York area to Europe and Asia. I’m never perfect following the apps advice, however I follow it most of the time and/or as best I can. At worst we have very mild jet lag for maybe a day and often no jet lag. My wife and I can sleep on planes when instructed by Timeshifter and that is critical. If you cannot sleep on planes, with or without Melatonin it makes things rough.

FAQ

What does the Timeshifter app do?

Timeshifter creates personalized jet lag plans based on scientific principles of circadian rhythms. It helps you adjust your body's internal clock to new time zones by providing specific advice on when to expose yourself to light and when to avoid it, aiming to reduce symptoms like insomnia and sleepiness.

How does Timeshifter use circadian science?

The app leverages the understanding that light is the primary cue for your body's circadian clock. It provides tailored recommendations for light exposure and avoidance, timed precisely to help your internal clock synchronize with your destination's time zone, addressing the root cause of jet lag.

Is Timeshifter free to use?

Your first jet lag plan is provided for free with no commitment. After that, you can choose to purchase individual plans as needed or opt for a subscription to get unlimited plans for all your travels.

What kind of advice does the app offer?

The app offers practical advice that considers your real-world schedule, thanks to its Practicality Filter™. This includes guidance on light exposure, sleep timing, and pre-travel adjustments to help you prepare for your journey and minimize jet lag symptoms.

Who is Timeshifter intended for?

Timeshifter is designed for healthy adults aged 18 and older who frequently travel across time zones. It is not intended for pilots and flight crew on duty. The app aims to help users conquer jet lag and improve their travel experience.
