Only suitable if you can sleep during flights
If you don’t already reliably sleep through flights, don’t bother with this app. Its plan for you would be worse than just sleeping/eating earlier/later before your flight, like people have been doing informally since forever.
Oh, look what we have here, a marketing reply to my review. Sorry, but the fact remains: If you are changing time zones enough to want an app to help, then the app can’t ignore that fact that it is your sleep schedule that needs to adjust, and to adjust that it needs to explicitly account for whether or not you can sleep on aircraft.

Your plan asks you to sleep on both flights and avoid light in between. We round the timing to the nearest hour to keep it simple — your body doesn't run on minutes, so don't stress about being exact. Once you're in your seat, try to sleep as soon as you can. But if you're not a person who reliably sleeps on planes, that's okay — the advice still works. Sleep helps, but the real driver of the shift is avoiding light. Put on a sleep mask, close your eyes, and just rest, even if you don't actually fall asleep. Near the end of the flight, through the airport, and until you're seated on your next flight, wear dark sunglasses to block out light. On the second flight, same deal: sleep if you can, or just rest with your eyes closed and stay away from light. That light avoidance is doing the real work, whether or not sleep happens.
Perfect

The best for reducing jet lag
It worked
It really works!
A Simple and Effective Way to Reduce Jet Lag
The app was very easy to set up, and the plan was simple to understand and follow. I received two trips for free, after which there was the option to pay per trip or take out a subscription. As I do not travel internationally very often, I probably would not need the subscription, but the individual trip option may suit occasional travellers.
I do not drink coffee or take melatonin, so I mainly followed the recommended sleep and wake times and tried to manage my light exposure as closely as possible. The guidance was realistic and easy to fit around the journey. During the flights, I tried to sleep when advised, avoided watching films and read a physical book when I could not sleep.
Travelling eastbound usually affects me the most, but this time I experienced very few symptoms of jet lag. On the return journey to the UK, I felt ready for bed at the time recommended by the app, which also matched my normal bedtime. I did wake at around 3 a.m., but I would personally rather wake early and start the day than struggle to sleep at night.
What I liked most was the simplicity of the app. It provided clear and practical instructions without overcomplicating the science behind them. I did not find anything particularly confusing or inconvenient.
I would recommend Timeshifter to frequent flyers, as well as athletes, coaches and performance staff who regularly travel internationally for training or competition. It is a useful tool for anyone who wants to manage jet lag more deliberately and arrive feeling better prepared.
Works amazingly well
Bait and switch with a false bug
Jet lag- minimal to none
won’t travel without it
I was dubious at first but this was a game changer!
I heard about Timeshifter an episode of diary of a CEO so I decided to try it.
First of all, the app is absolutely beautiful, very sleek, and easy to use. I inputted my trip details and it gave me a plan based off of my sleeping habits and chronotype.
I flew out Wednesday afternoon, but started the time shift on Monday. With the help of melatonin, caffeine, natural sunlight, and specific sleeping and wake up times, I was able to follow easily the program.
Not only was I able to sleep really well in the plane, I experienced zero jet lag my first day in Paris and I was able to stay up until 8 PM and then have a full 9 1/2 hours.
On day two same deal, zero jet lag, lots of energy, and I slept 6 1/2 hours (which is not bad giving that it’s 40 degrees, no AC). I woke up, feeling refreshed and full of energy.
To this day, I still cannot believe that I have experience zero jet lag. This is an absolute game changer and I will get the annual membership to use this for all of my trips.
Thank you so much for building such an incredible products.
Fantastic app
Worth the money!
Poor customer support
Worth the price
On my second European trip, i had NO jet lag. I hit the ground ready to go.
For me, it's harder to follow on my way east/back home, but I still transitioned back to EST by my second day.
If you're traveling a few time zones, at least try your first trip free. Do the best you can with the suggestions. I think you'll decide to use it every (overseas) trip.
