Can trap you in an auth loop
I recently logged in to my Ionos account via my Mac. The login process asked me to confirm the login via the Ionos app on my phone. However for some reason the iPhone app had logged me out. It prompted me to log in, and then after I entered my username and password, asked me to confirm it via the app! Impossible since the app was awaiting a login verification. Really badly designed logic. This has happened more than once. The app (all iOS apps really) should store my credentials in the keychain and NEVER EVER ask me to re-authenticate. I had to resort to a backup method to regain access to my account. Frustrating!

Service level
Starting to get annoyed with the poor level on the service. I had a 1and1 account and been a customer since 2013 and starting to get worse as more and more issues and downtime. Sad really 😢

My only issue is their back office for my domain is so complicated to navigate and is totally different in desktop to mobile. I have to get ChatGPT to navigate me through their labyrinth of pages.

My name is Brian. I have a last name, only it’s “Not” the one that was on all my accounts with IONOS after registration!! I would absolutely NEVER input the name that came up. I was adopted at 8 years old and I can’t stand the name I had at birth!!! No reason other than IONOS doing a serious deep dive into me as a client to gather unauthorized information and data!!! I don’t trust the IONOS brand and you shouldn’t either!!! This is your warning‼️ I have all the proof and evidence so if this gets taken down or you think or anyone thinks I’m bluffing?!? I’ve filed a complaint with the FTC as well. You’ve been warned!!!

Webmail is hassle to get to
Everything is fine. It’s just a pain to have to log in search for the mail app and log in again with different email and password

Ruined by recent changes
The IONOS app now opens with with no visible way to login. After punching around a bit, you get to enter username and password, but then 2-factor kicks in. My choices are: 1. Verify with IONOS app by shaking phone, but shaking does nothing, and I am not logged in, or 2. Use Authenticator to generate a code, but I can’t type in the code because IONOS won’t accept typing into the fill-in-the-blank field that is shown. I cannot get the iPhone keyboard to pop up to type in a number.
In its present form it is worthless. I am using a web browser or full PC to access my account.
