It just brings you to the website. If I wanted to use the website I wouldn’t have downloaded an app

DO NOT! I REPEAT NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP. It’s nothing but putting on a front to get your personal information as well as social security number. Every time I “fill out” the questionnaire so I can log into my account. There’s always some reason a computer. So I opted to do a phone call to prove who I was and phone call never came.. I hate for someone else to waste your time. The way I did. I actually was a little concerned wondering if owed backpay in taxes to yourself a favor and don’t even try it.

More Than Either Reason
IRS2Go is a very optimized, click-done app.
I downloaded it during the pandemic's emergency funding check stage, and basically it's the one-function booster action you'd use to check your status.
Therein, one negative: IRS2Go is the only official Internal Revenue Service mobile app, and only official system apps can access infrastructure services, however, it only determines your current taxpayer status.
You download the app you sent in your tax money, and IRS2Go lets you know whether you're pending, finished, late, done for, etc.. Awesome. You would think so up front, same, if the app's existence was common knowledge:
'Download the official notification.'
You get there, you know? It's kind of surprising there's a government system app, really, and the blankness makes the protocol worthy. Thus, IRS2Go's greatness:
Having rhe app on your home iPhone is basically like having a digital Social Security card certifying your digital wallet.
It makes you feel 'defense worthy', impressive, with no data strain. Deactivate it, leave it in the App Library, and enjoy the unique app experience idly imposed.
You notice to remember it exists on a rainy day, maybe a year later.

Not much history
Wish it would go back more than three years since I’m still trying to get my refund from 2021 and when I call the automated system says it’s too busy and just hangs up on me.

It’s been almost a year since we filed our taxes, and we still haven’t received our refund. I’m a legit taxpayer, yet it feels like people committing fraud get their refunds faster than those of us who follow the rules. How can be your system so trash? or it your workers?

Everything you click on just redirects you out of the app and back to the irs.gov website - which also isn’t working properly. WHAT A JOKE!
What’s the point?
i’m failing to understand why I still have this app, when every button I click takes me to the website. I can’t pay. I can’t check my refund— it goes to the website. So I’ll just delete the app? Taxation is theft, how am I supposed to pay my taxes if you won’t let me? What a joke.
Needs work
I like the app but you can actually view your irs account, it directs you straight to the website, you can make a payment, why make an app that directs you back to the webpage, it would be better if you could access all the website functions all in the app without haven’t to go back to a webpage, at this point this app is useless.

App locks you out for 24 hours after ONE failed attempt. Taxation is theft.
The quality you’d expect from the gummint
Checking refund status gives generic error. Is it because I can’t enter digits after decimal point to match refund amount exactly? Who knows. Useless for me.

Totally Useless
Like other reviewers have indicated, this app is useless for making payments. The buttons just redirect you to the web browser to use the website. I haven't tried tracking my refund status.
