Great results

Highly recommend this app, I’m so happy with it. There are so many workouts to choose from. You can even make your own workouts. They have wonderful customer service support which is hugely appreciated!!

Love her

I’ve done Jillian Michaels DVDs for off and on 16 years across 2 different colleges and continents let alone residence changes! I’ve never found another do at home workout like hers. Nor even one of its like at the gym.

Her workouts both push me cardiovascularly AND leave me feeling in alignment bc of the range of muscle groups she targets each time. And the circuits are short enough that I keep form, so I don’t start compensating with other accessory muscle groups. Somehow she combines real intensity without compromising form and alignment. Normally I feel like I have to pick between the two.

I also happen to find all of the “I want you to feel like you’re going to die!” stuff hilarious. I mean I do try to push myself to the absolute max and those kind of comments actually bring the external intensity that helps, but they also amuse me which is great when you feel like you’re going to die!

Having easy access to her whole catalog plus more is a gift. I put my phone on the phone camera stand I have for filming auditions (~$20) which enables me to have it at eye level. I use it at the gym, home, or at my parents’ and soon at another school lol The flexibility and portability is fabulous.

Also, great customer service! They were prompt, friendly, effective, and patient. The latter was especially appreciated as I was having some technical difficulties.

Customising?

Dear Support Team,

I would like to ask if it is possible to customise the exercise difficulty level separately for different types of exercises within the app.

For example, during the 7-minute workouts, I am comfortable doing intermediate-level exercises for arms and legs, but I find abdominal exercises more difficult and currently can only manage the beginner level for abs.

Is there a way to set different difficulty levels for different muscle groups or exercise types within one workout?

I can see that you can change the level for everything but can not find when I can change it selectively

Enttäuschend

Ich habe die Fitness DvDs wie "Der perfekte Knackpo" sehr gerne gemacht und hatte mich gefreut, als ich die App entdeckt hatte. Aber sehr wenig Auswahl an Plänen. Die Übungen sind gut, aber es gibt keine Erklärungen zur richtigen Ausführung und auch keine richtige Vorschau. Der Timer läuft ab und sie ist schon mitten in der Übung. Habe die Probewoche nicht verlängert.

No 28 shred?

I got this app following the online purchase of 28 shred, but that one is not on the app which means it’s almost impossible to play the workout video on my tv as airplay works better via an app - will this ever be possible? I’m really disappointed

No free workouts

Seems like absolutely nothing is free in this app. Downloaded it to try it out with the intention of maybe purchasing the in app purchases if I liked it. You don’t really get a chance to “try before you buy” as all of the workouts are locked. Seems a bit of a bad business model and a large amount of money to commit to something you don’t know if you’ll like.. Such a shame because I have been a huge Jillian fan since she started on the biggest loser…

Payment issues prevent subscription renewal

I’ve been a long-term subscriber and wanted to renew my subscription, but payment has been repeatedly declined immediately – without any bank interaction.
My bank confirmed there is no issue on my side and that no payment request ever reaches them.
Support initially responded, then stopped replying, and the issue was never resolved.
I was willing to pay, but the app simply wouldn’t let me. Very frustrating experience.

Useless!!!

App continually freezes just trying to set up your metrics. Despite being pretty well versed, there is just no easy way to schedule workouts to a calendar, there is no prompt to do so and even the ‘tip of the day’ link to do it, doesn’t work.
In all honesty, I’m glad I had the opportunity to free trial, there’s absolutely no way I would pay a subscription for it.
With so many apps on the market, you really need to have better usability, content and choice than trying to lead with a name alone..avoid until a much better update is available.

Not that great

I keep selecting the exercise was easy at the end of each exercise, and I feel like it’s giving me easier ones every day. If I view previous day, it also changes all the exercises for today. Not sure why. I lao had a day that EVERY SINGLE exercise was on my hands. By the end of the workout, I wasn’t exhausted, nothing was hurting except my wrists. I could barely finish it because of my wrist. But the rest of my body? Felt as if I was sitting on the couch the whole time. Now, I know I can switch the exercises in the preview. But I shouldn’t have to for the price I am paying. At that point I can just come up with my own exercise and pay only $2/month for a time interval app. I am also not a fan of the cooldown. Why doesn’t the music change? It’s really weird to be trying to relax and cool down to an upbeat music. Also, the cooldown could be different than rest of the exercises. I don’t need to stretch one part of my body for 30 seconds.
Not being able to get the app on my TV or on my laptop is also a real downside. It would be nice if I didn’t need additional subscriptions or equipment to get it to the big screen.
I just feel like it could do better for $20/month. For what it is now, I wouldn’t pay more than $5/month. I cancelled my membership, it’s just not worth the price.

Crappiest piece of junk!!

It does not have the same wkouts on the app and the tv. I can’t log in my computer on the app or even reboot the darn thing at all. Total JUNK!!!

U don't need this app

Seriously don't waste ur time

Great app!

I used to do Jillian’s workout videos but over the last couple of years my hormones seem to have taken over and i find i don’t recover like i used to. So after a good few months of just walking and yoga (and weight gain!) i started the 7 minute beginner workouts a couple of times a week. I work as hard as i can, pause the workout and then rest for as long as I need before continuing. Over the last year I have gradually worked up to the 10 minute intermediate level and if i feel low in energy then i drop back to beginner for that one. It works really well and follows the hormone hacks from Metabolic Renewal which teach you how to manage your hormones. I am getting stronger again but i fear my regular routine of 45 minutes Hard Body at the weekend are well and truly over!
The app has all the dvds and loads of mindfulness workouts, yoga, meal plans with various options. It’s v good but i don’t tend to use anything other than the Total Body on the workout generator.
One thing i would like changed is the calories on the weight loss plans. The weightloss level would make me gain weight as my Garmin estimates i need 1700 kcals a day with exercise and there is no scope for treat days. I think the weight loss plan is 1800 calories! Would have worked when i was 25….

Lovin’ these workouts

I greatly appreciate that this is not a one size fits all app. The face that the workouts are customized to fit my level of fitness is a game changer.
Also, prior to this app, I had owned most of her DVD workouts and loved them!!

Used to Love It, Now Not So Much

I previously gave this app 4 stars. I was a customer for almost 2 years. I will not renew my subscription because I am put off by Jillian’s inflammatory comments about gender identity and race. If you want to be a cheerleader for the right wing, race baiting, trans hating crowd, knock yourself out. It’s a free country (for now). But you won’t get another penny from me, Jillian.

Support is not supporting

The email address that is listed on web site for support is Not working. Each time my message returns with a notion that the mail delivery to this address is impossible.

The same issues that I described before here about my frustration with the app - freezing picture, no possibility to exclude the exercises that are causing me pain and banned by my doctor, bad search - try to find 7 minute exercise through it- therefore remain.
No wonder - the email is not working - they are not receiving it - no need to solve problems. Easy-‘peasy. 😡

Good app

I like the app. She has a lot of variations of workouts to do. The one thing I would change is to have the phone app and apply tv app be consistent. There aren’t as many options on the Apple TV. I know you can air play but I try to leave my phone while working out so I’m not distracted.

Love Jillian but app needs work .Wish it were 5*

More weights barbell and strength exercise workouts needed for those of us needing to keep that muscle as we age. Not sure how much longer I’ll keep the app. It’s been great for rehab and getting into home fitness. Now it’s beginning to be repetitive and dare I say it a bit dull. Positives are the exercises are easy to follow & I like the places where you can adapt. Edited to add impossible to quickly leave review as every nickname however random appears taken.
