This app is an absolute must when visiting London. Black cab drivers are very impressive in their knowledge of monuments, attractions, streets and hospitality as they require years of training to be cab drivers. Other transport companies are not recommended unfortunately as there are no required years of training to navigate the complex roads of London and earn the accomplishment of being a black cab driver. All our drivers had been living in London many years and offered amazing insight and cool stories of England. Safety was never a concern and prices were decent for big city travel and avoiding public transportation. Highly recommend this app to help you quickly find a taxi to safely and efficiently travel London with good fun and conversation on the way!

Simple, convenient, comfortable
Simple and convenient app to hail a black cab. No need to add your card details or pay the tech bros - just pay the driver directly. Really comfortable taxis with safe drivers. Would like to be able to specify an electric cab, but suppose they’ll all be electric soon.
Excellent ease of use and no account making needed!
Very nice as the app hails a cab in less than 5 minutes, payment is truly fair square, and even reminded to reject any other methods of payment outside of TFL’s regulation. Dead simple UI which is a relief to see, overall a very nice app. Would be better if the app is able to tell riders what kind of cab is getting hailed (Vito, TXE, or TX4)

Best way to e-hail a London cab
App works really well. Best part? None of the excessive fees that the other apps use!
Fraudulent
Doesn’t track your progress. Driver can claim you put in something else and cheat you easily.
Worst experience
Linked me with the worst cab driver I’ve ever had.
He drove 10mph on a 50mph road, almost crashed several times, on his phone constantly, took a “shortcut” that amounted a 20 minute detour to take us 200m up the road by needlessly going round the back of Euston and made a bunch of racist comments about other drivers.
The journey should have cost £40 but ended up costing £105. Go with literally any other app this is not the one.

So easy to use
Does what it says on the tin. Our cab arrived in seconds. Driver was amazing. Easy to pay using the reader in the back. Would highly recommend.

Overcharged due to app issue
I just had a ride with a cab driver that did not know London.
Jump taxi was not able to recognise the address/school I set as destination of my journey.
Support confirmed the name of the school was correct, the address they have was wrong.
At the beginning of the journey I explained to the cab driver that the address in the app was wrong - 2 km away from the real one
I got overcharged at least 10 pound extra and jump taxi support told me that despite they have admitted via email that their app was faulty it is not their problem.

Win win
Win win for driver and customer. I wish you had the option to choose EV and also select if you want a 6 seater cab (vs 5 seater)
Can be improved
Shame you cannot save a few fav addresses like home and work
Shame you cannot message a driver on its way (to let him know a road is blocked for instance etc)

Forget Getting
Good, simple, quick throughout, and NO weird, esoteric charges for apparently missed/declined cabs as in Gett. And cabbies say they love this one, as they don’t get charged through the nose. UBER is good too for black cabs but this is simple, straightforward, good.
Would not recommend
The app is not user friendly. You can’t see where you’re going and it consistently gets my address wrong if I enter the post code. You can’t rate drivers either.

Unusable
Good idea but sadly is unusable - it never detects my address correctly and there is no option of dropping a pin where I am. When you try to type in the address, it always gives me the wrong option. I have used it a few times but it is way too inconvenient and takes too long to actually locate the driver afterwards a d explain where they need to go

Solid Taxi App
Works very well. Big fan!
Best Uber alternative ever
Simple and straight forward. Hail any local taxi. Pay only after you ride just as if you hailed h the cab on the street. I’ve lived in London for a year and wish somebody had told me about this earlier!
Cancelled on me after 10 minutes
Ordered a jump taxi in good time and was left stranded as they cancelled on me. No other cab was around. Downloaded and ordered an uber instead…
