Simple feature desperately needed!!!

App is fine, doesn't do much and that's ok - it doesn't need too. All I need from it now is to tell me when my monthly instalment of data will come through (as a yearly plan user). Also please can it try remember my login a bit more reliably. Cheers

Critical security issue

There's a critical security issue appeared when switching from 2 accounts. Logged out an account A and logging to the other account B,and the phone number and the associated plan details for account A appeared in the account B. OMG, how come no body noticed this issue in Kogan? Did they even test this app before it was released to the user?

Worst service provider

My experience with Kogan Mobile NZ has been absolutely terrible. Their service is the worst I have ever used. My mobile data plan was supposed to renew on time, but it didn’t, leaving me without data for days. Their customer service is completely unreachable, and the helpline links in their app don’t even work! The app itself is non-functional and useless.

To make things worse, their mobile data plans run out way too fast, and even when they should renew, they don’t. Overall, my experience is 0/10. I would strongly advise against using Kogan Mobile—stay away if you want reliable service!

Aweful customer and technical support

I spent the effort downloading the app just to give a bad review. That’s how bad the service is. Saw another review about bad customer service and the writer’s credit card was charged unauthorised. I now fear it might happen to me since there’s no way to remove credit card in the account page and also no way to close the (prepay) account. I also spent the effort to email customer service to formally give notice that I do not authorise them charging my credit card. I swear I would report to the bank as unauthorised charges, misuse and fraudulent if that happens to me. And also file complaint to Fair Go Nz and Commerce Commision. Hope no one else fall victim to unfair charges and unhelpful customer service.

Non responsive links

When you’re using this plan without needing to interact with the app, it’s ok.
However - if you need to purchase international roaming, adjust the current plan - this app is a nightmare of things not working. Dead links, multiple clicks to get to what you need - it makes OneDrive look like a symphony of usability and intuitive design.

Doesn’t really do what it needs to

The app is ok, but when you try and go to the menu button and select a different page, it simply doesn’t go there. Also, it logs you out every couple of days which is incredibly irritating

Poor customer service and also rip off deals

Please for anyone reading this, DO NOT go with kogan. Yes they have cheaper deals but the service and customer service is terrible. If there is any issues with a plan, payment, calls or texts it’s very tedious to get a hold of anyone. Also they do not help out and just say there’s nothing you can do. Hopefully nz gets better phone deals but this ain’t the one

Data Plan Reactivation Notification

I really like your mobile data plan; it's very affordable. However, there was no notification when I reactivated the plan, but I was prompted when I tried to turn it off. I think this needs to be improved. When reactivating a data plan, users should be given a notification to confirm their action. Many people might accidentally enable the plan without realizing it, leading to unexpected charges. It would be helpful to have a confirmation step to prevent this.

Waste of space

Don’t waste your time. Use your phone browser to access your account. This ‘app’ is just a non-functional version of what you get in a browser

The entire app just froze once you hit any button.. I guess with cheap plans comes with cheap apps

Trash App

I have tried to transfer my number but have come into numerous obstacles!!! This app is sooo annoying to use, it does not make any sense and I would rather use one nz than this ✊🏽 it is not sending me my activation email and when attempting to use the new number with my old transferred port it doesnt work!!! USELESS

Notify us renewal date on app

I would like to request notification of some sort in the app to let us know when is the next renewal date for my 30 day block is happening.

Log in and out problems

Person 1 logs out. log in with person 2’s details, person 1’s credentials show up after logging in with person 2’s details. Absolutely unacceptable security risk.

Absolutely a mess

It is so infuriating at how absolutely nothing works with this app. Logging in and freezing. Whats worse is that the app automatically puts the auto-renewal button as enabled from the beginning without any reminder or consent and therefore my plan has renewed during the time I wanted to change elsewhere. Had no idea it was enabled in the beginning, therefore now I just threw money in the ground as I had already changed to another company. Do not use this company by far was the worst

Help centre

I am unable to access help centre and unable to purchase add on plans.
I really need to get data but I can’t. I payment has been deducted but not getting the data.

Useless app

All I want the app for is to tell me how much data I have remaining for the month and how much time is left before it resets

Needs some improvements

Links within the app, such as “HOME” or “HELP CENTRE”, do not work.
Based on other reviews, it seems it’s been like this for at least a year.

Ridiculous Customer service

The customer service experience has been extremely frustrating. They double-charged my Kogan mobile plan, and since they don’t have a contact number in NZ for customer support, I had to email them. The support staff keeps asking for my credit card details to confirm the issue. I’m puzzled as to why they need my credit card details when they already have it in their system. I believe they can verify my identity through other means, and I don’t feel comfortable sharing my credit card details. This is ridiculous 😡😡 Additionally, I decided to terminate their service and disable the auto top-up feature a month ago, but it continues to charge me. To make matters worse, I discovered that they charged me for the full month’s plan just two days before I canceled. I emailed the staff, but they have been unable to provide a satisfactory answer. It’s been over two weeks, and despite suggesting that they consult their manager if there’s a language barrier, no action has been taken. Just keep ignoring my questions 😡😡😡 I call the customer service number on the main Kogan Website , then refer to the Australia Department. They said NZ doesn’t have customer service to contact (but that’s the only number on the website). I’ve request the staff in my email to forward my request to his manager who can understand English, but never happened. There is no other way I can make the complaint. So I have to post it here. Ridiculous!!!

I got charged twice!

The app lags severely and when I was purchasing for another prepay for the year I got charged $250 TWICE. It’s still being resolved now and the Prepay Plan is NOT even working!
