Never works

The worst laundry app I’ve ever used

Why this application relies 100% on an active Internet connection when almost all of these commercial machines are placed in basements with no service is beyond me. The fact that I don’t have the ability to contact anyone about the functionality of the app is insane. If I could give zero stars, I would.

The response from the developer really shows you that they don't care and they don't understand their users whatsoever

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and provide feedback on the app. If a coin drop box is unavailable on the facility's machine, the Launderday app must be used to start a cycle and process payment. The unit will need to have a connection to WiFi in order for the app to communicate with the laundry machine. If there is an issue with the WiFi at the facility, we recommend seeking assistance from the laundry facility manager onsite. If you're experiencing an issue with the Launderday app, please reach out to our Commercial Laundry Help Line by calling 1-866-531-9828 or emailing CommercialLaundry@geappliances.com. The app freaking sucks

I have turned on notifications and it still doesn’t notify me. It is most annoying that my landlord decided to install these washing and drying machines in our apartment building. It’s better than having to go get quarters from the bank but still. I really didn’t need another app.

Scammy — agree!

A GE machine doesn’t spin the clothes dry ( often need to pay for dryer twice) or the machine fills w/ only 2-3 inches of water (?) so clothes that were never submerged in water come out streaked w soap.
This may be building mngr or super’s fault — but when dryer doesn’t dry at all or spin doesn’t work on washing machine— refunds requested via this app are never given. Who is responsible? In my building, the machines are poorly maintained— lint trap screens torn, plastic casings cracked, dryer door doesn’t close — without trying 10-12 times, washing machines lack enough water to wash and then often don’t spin dry— could it be they set so little water for washing clothes to avoid the water left in machine after the final spin? That’s no solution — just a poor work around.
I know— this is about the app —not my building’s poor management of the laundry facilities … but the app doesn’t give refunds for things that don’t work. The combo of this issue w the app, the broken equipment, and poor laundry room maintenance make the situation definitely one star — or less. Could all be much better w a little effort!!

We're sorry to hear you've experienced issues with the laundry units at your facilities location. For issues with the machines, we recommend seeking assistance from the laundry facility manager onsite. A cycle refund request can be made by going to the Launderday App menu and choosing History. Choose the cycle you want to dispute and request a refund. Keep in mind the cycle refund request is between you and the person managing the Laundry Facility where you ran a cycle. You can check on the status of your request in the History tab, and you’ll get a notification when the request is processed. Sydney@Launderday

Does not work

Odd that app requires all my personal information to register. Regardless, app kept erroring, never recognized the washing machine I attempted to use. Wasted time and had to go elsewhere to wash clothes.

Scammers

Took my
Money and provided zero services.

Terrible

I have made complaint and I request an account balance refund. I was charged 10 dollars to simply use a 2 DOLLAR cycle. And I can’t get the remaining money out that belongs to me. I am going to use the dryer which is gonna cost 2 more dollars. So I’ll have 6 dollars left in my account. I’d like a full refund for the remaining money in my account because my stay ends Saturday and I won’t be washing anymore clothes. Esspecially not if I’m gonna be charged 10 dollars everytime. Worst app.

Legal Extortion

This app is another example of modern day “legal” extortion. They get agreements with apartments and hotels and then FORCE you to load $10 minimum in order to even do a load of laundry. This typically results in them “storing” money for later use essentially given them a free loan with your money.

Response from developer

We want to help and advise on how to request an account balance refund. While the location sets the cycle price, the app takes a load minimum of $10, as this is the approximate cost of a day’s worth of laundry in most facilities. For a refund of an account balance, please reach out to our Commercial Laundry Team directly for assistance by emailing CommercialLaundry@geappliances.com. Sydney@Launderday

Adding money

This app seems terrible with user interface as it only allows a minimum of $10. Nowhere does it specify what the minimum is it only specifies that a maximum of 100 can be input. I’m at a hotel where a wash and dry cycle cost $7.50 and now I have to put $10 on and lose out on money.

Useless

Took 15 min to download an app and create an account for something I’ll never use again. Also they set a minimum amount of money to add to your account… my washer and dryer took less than the $10 minimum deposit so they effectively stole the rest from me.

Response from developer

We'd like to help and provide information on an account balance refund. The app takes a load minimum of $10, as this is the approximate cost of a day’s worth of laundry in most facilities. Just wear your clothes dirty

Minimal instructions in the app. The price that is advertised isn’t the price you actually pay. I got charged more than double of what I was told on the app. The minimum amount allowed to deposit is $10 so the money that isn’t used is just stuck in there forever. DO NOT USE THIS APP.

Response from developer

We'd like to provide some information on the price of a cycle, the $10 minimum, and receiving an account balance refund. While the location sets the cycle price, the app takes a load minimum of $10, as this is the approximate cost of a day’s worth of laundry in most facilities. Please note, that the facilities manager/owner sets the price for a cycle. Scammy

This is the worst laundry app I’ve ever had to use and it’s the only option where I live. The machines are broken all the time, which sure I understand things break or need fixed ect. But if I’m spending my money on it and my clothes aren’t being washed/dried correctly I expect a refund. Every time I’ve wasted money on this app my refund is denied. There is no reason I shouldn’t get my money back when something I’m paying for isn’t doing the service that is expected. Absolutely ridiculous, money hungry app, with awful quality machines.

Time waster

Takes forever to set up compared to being able to just throw some quarters in the machine or pay with a card. Another app added to your phone you’ll only use once and a login you’ll never remember.

Response from developer

We appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback on the Launderday app. We will pass your comments along to our app design team. While we do offer a coin drop box option for our commercial laundry units, this payment option may not be available at your facility. We recommend providing this feedback directly to your facilities manager/owner as well if you're able. Sydney@Launderday

Locked out of my account money inaccessible

I went down to do my laundry and put all my clothes in the machine added detergent and I opened the app to find that I was signed out. I put in my account information to sign back in and it said invalid credentials. I hit the reset password link WHICH DOESN’T WORK I did not receive an email to reset the password and now I can’t get back into my account, I can’t wash my clothes, and I can’t get my MONEY BACK that is on my account. So beyond frustrated what a horrible implementation of a plan for an app.

update: issue has not been fixed despite months of effort so i’m submitting a dispute

Terrible

I have emailed them a few times to have my balance put back on my card. They will not respond. I stayed at a hotel that uses this terrible app. One dryer automatically charges $5 instead of $3. They denied my refunds on that when it’s absolutely their problem. The hotel cannot do anything either. It’s up to GE. So they get an extra $4 for a dryer I had to use twice. It adds time without me choosing. Although it was still the same amount of time as the other one. My $5 balance I’ve lost because they ignore emails. It’s not the hotels responsibility to give refunds. It tells you to email GE. I did. A few times. I will never use this app again. I’d rather go to a regular laundromat.

Fix your app

The app will not load. It just stays circling and won’t load. I have my own washer and dryer but I like to use the washers at my office with this app for my bedding. It won’t open to work or use.

Something went wrong…

Update:
Now, instead of looping me back to a different screen when I try to sign in, the app crashes every single time. It’s sort of difficult to do laundry on machines which require this horrible app when the app crashes every time I select the sign in button.

My apartment complex switched to machines which only use the app. Unfortunately for me, no matter how many times I try it won’t let me create an account. After I finish the account creation process, it loops me back to the first page telling me that something went wrong and I should try again later.

Non working machines

This is my first time using the app . My laundrymatt has been down for over a year and I finally get the chance to wash my clothes in my apartments for the washers to say” machine not found” and it. Says it for all of the machines not just one

Zero stars

Horrible horrible app. Always has errors and some errors make you wait 5 minutes. Now it won’t even load to sign in.

Why did you let your boss tell you to make this

You don’t need an app for laundry. It doesn’t even work. I don’t need to give you my phone number, email, and street address to do laundry and you know it. Working for Lockheed Martin would be less soulless than this.
