They will damage the lawn , do not hire them! They will not fix it either.
They’re Contractors don’t always follow instructions and will use two lawnmowers at different heights to cut your lawn and then kill half of it and then make you pay to replace it because their contractor took a picture of a lawnmower being set at 4 inches. They do not back their Contractors if they make a mistake or damage property, you will be stuck with the bill at the end of the day. Do not use them.

Terrible company
Do not use, I signed up and for lawn mowing. Contractors never showed. They move you to new contractor that also didn’t show and the won’t let you cancel account. Company won’t do anything but keep moving you to new contractors and then try and charge you extra it’s really a terrible company find some local people yourself don’t waste your time

Wish I could give zero stars
Someone was scheduled to come cut my grass on Monday never showed up never answered any messages. They automatically rescheduled somebody different Tuesday. I sent a message as it was getting later to verify if he was coming and got no response. Then I got an alert that my appointment was rescheduled for two weeks from the original date. I sent another message asking why it was rescheduled and he said oh I rode past your house and it looked like your grass was already cut. It was obvious that my grass wasn’t cut. Horrible experience highly do not recommend!

Buyer beware! Absolutely worse service ever!!
Absolutely worse service ever!! Don’t ever use them if you want to rescheduled for weeks. Very unprofessional lawn care representatives and the call center is full of people who either don’t live in the USA or care to help. 0 stars possible. Florida area btw
App Issues
I love the crew that provides service for my lawn. What I hate is that LawnStarter has app updates almost weekly. They apparently have some terrible developers that are incapable of writing decent code.

No lawn care
We’ve scheduled someone to mow our lawn three times and all three times, no one has showed up - one of the times, someone claimed to partially mow and tried to get paid but actually didn’t show up at all. The third person responded to my message to confirm their coming to mow and then never came. I waited for 1.5 hours to talk to customer service about this. Very disappointed.

Don’t sign up for this terrible service
I had lawnstarter mow my lawn a couple times this summer and had an issue both times.
The first time, they mistakenly charged me a long grass fee (which they rectified). The second time, they forgot to mow the left side of my house.
Don’t hire these guys unless you want a headache.

No one ever shows up
Not sure if it’s their model but the Pros just don’t show up. Then you have to wait another 48 hours for another Pro to just not show up. Maybe it’s just my area - but just terrible. Concept seems great but it just doesn’t work.
Screwed me for 185$
I scheduled service with this company. The people they set me up with canceled over and over again. I had to hire a local reliable lawn care company to come out eventually and it cost me 185$ because the grass had gotten so long. I contacted LawnStarter customer service numerous times. Their answer.. “anything else I can assist you with today”….

My lawn is completely dead
The so-called pro used edger for 2 months to kill my baby lawn even tough I informed and pleased them to use sharp blade mower. The damage is thousands of dollars + time + each time damage cost $45. At the end I even couldn’t talk to a live customer care. STAY AWAY FROM THESE UNPROFESSIONAL APP BASED GUYS.

Most Unreliable App
I tried using this for about three months. I only asked for a mow every other week. I had maybe 9-10 different “pros” assigned to me. The date would come, and no one would show. Some would cancel the day of and reschedule for days later, and then not come on that rescheduled day. There is no accountability for these people on this app. My yard was mowed three times in three months. I have complained several times and nothing ever gets better. Horrible, unreliable, nearly a scam.

Do not use this service. The communication is slow and irregular. The tech they sent left stips of unmowed grass because he showed up after sundown. When I complained he said he would be back and never showed up. I requested a different “Pro” and after a week, still don’t have one. Beware: if you sign up they try to lock you into 3 mows before they will let you cancel.

Wasted my time, rude, disorganized
I scheduled my day to wait for Tyler from Florida’s Finest Property Maintenance. I asked when he’s coming was coming. His response was “you’re joking right” and then he said I had a 2 foot lawn. Then wrote back that I didn’t declare something - obviously trying to charge me the expensive fee for NOTHING. I sent him back a photo of my grass which is at most 3 inches. No response. LawnStarter has been slow to help me. Avoid.
