Great concept, poor execution
Poorly-vetted providers. Providers are given the option to charge you when they say they’re “on the way” and then “release the job.” Then, we’re left without service until another provider accepts the job.
We have had some bad providers who either wait until the last minute to cancel, don’t show up at all, or do a half job and call it a day.
Find a good local lawnscaper to mow your lawn, if you aren’t going to do it yourself.

Lawn mowing
Very poor service. I signed up for lawn mowing weekly. A guy came once & did not show up for second mowing. No phone call, no text notification. Then I was given a new person who also never showed up, called or texted. The app is still showing that someone is coming every single day since. No one comes.
Ridiculous management!

“Professionals” are DIYers
I would not recommend LawnGuru.
They market their providers as “professionals,” but my experience was very different. It feels more like an Uber-style app that connects homeowners with DIY lawn operators rather than experienced lawn care companies.
The crew that came to my property lacked basic mowing skills. The lawn was cut unevenly, there were obvious missed areas, the string trimming was sloppy, and they left tire marks from making unnecessary zero-turn turns across the yard. To make matters worse, they damaged my fence gate and didn’t even mention it.
The app makes it seem like you’re hiring professional lawn care companies, but in reality you’re taking a gamble on whoever accepts the job. If you care about the quality of your lawn, I would recommend hiring a reputable local lawn care company instead.

Crooks
Landscapers will flake constantly. When they do show up they just cancel and you get charged $12 for them being lazy.
