I’m sorry buy why the hell does my TV need not just my location, but my precise location? How come I needed to setup an LG account and attach a credit card just to download Paramount? I genuinely hope LG burns to the ground. Please pirate everything.

The app straight up does not work, takes forever to load anything it tries to do, and is even riddled with simple grammar mistakes. “Your tv will log you keep in.” Really? Are you serious? It completely tracks unfortunately, the TV is borderline unusable so why would the app be any better? Absolutely embarrassing and infuriating, anyone who reads this I hope it reached you before you finished mounting it to your wall. Go back and get literally any other brand of television.

Gives implausible readings
The app shows my energy consumption for my ac to be over 188,000 kWh per day. This is much more than the wiring to the house could possibly handle. LG does not offer support for the app.

Set temp???
If only the unit would come on and go off at the temp I have it set for. Never had an issue with the original LG portable AC I had for the last 12 years. I have to constantly turn the new one on and off which makes setting a desired temp pointless.
So 4 days of recent “maintenance” to do what to the app I don’t know. If anything it’s even worse now. I’m literally cold from running it now but it says it’s 77° when even my analog thermometer says it’s 71°. Never again.

App accessibility
I’m a voiceover user and this app is fairly accessible, there are a few improvements I’d love to see implemented 1st, please please allow controls for time and temperature to be set by using a swipe up down standard accessibility gesture instead of tapping a button repeatedly over and over and over again to get to the desired time or temperature.

Washer is always disconnecting from app
Cant optout of marketing notificatins
I already disabled marketing notifications but the app still sends me some spa towlel spam. I had to block app notifications to avoid the ads i already opted not to receive.
The actual TV remote feature is buried somewhere in here
Sadly, the one feature I really want – the LG TV remote on my phone – is buried under a sea of things I have absolutely no interest in whatsoever, but which the app does not allow me to hide or re-order so that the features I want are at the top of the oafe. TV Show recommendations, Apps, and a “Share” feature… I have to scroll past these before I even get to the device inputs.
The remote control screen is a temporary overlay screen, that is missing a simple directional control (up/down/left/right) to navigate the various TV menus.
And if you navigate to another app and come back, you have to relaunch that overlay screen every single time.
It’s a terrible UI design, and I wonder how many people genuinely use the other 95% of what the app does, which seems to be purposefully positioned to get in the way of anyone who merely wants to control their TV from their phone with no other distractions.

Pointless and doesn’t work.
Hit or miss
When it wants to work it works but 75% of the time it doesn’t. Most days It won’t turn the tv on unless I use the remote first, if the app works and I don’t use it for 5-10 mins then it struggles to reconnect to the tv. Only good thing is I can turn the tv off from anywhere in the house (if the app decides to work)
