Doesn’t connect properly to libre link up
We have recently started using freestyle libre 3 plus and as parent not getting the notifications of her highs and lows on time are crucial. There’s always a 2-3 hour gap in between data uploads and notifications don’t arrive on time either. There’s no option to change to a sound loud enough that i can hear.

Not getting any notifications
We got switched from a different sensor due to insurance, this app has been nothing but a disappointment, the developers really need to get the app running properly because it doesn’t sync at all with the sensor readings
Horrible update
Never works always loses connection and never connects back have to do the whole process of sending a request for it work for a bit again
LibreLinkUp Alarm Not Working?
The app works well, but I have a question. My grandmother uses the Libre app and I use LibreLinkUp to monitor her glucose. She gets alarms for high and low glucose, but on my LibreLinkUp app I only receive notifications, not alarms. Is this expected, or is there something wrong with my app?
Options Limited
I admit, I’m just coming from the Dexcom Follow app, so I’m coming into this with a pretty heavy bias.
But the pros are that this app looks nice, it updates often, and the Libre itself has been accurate.
On the cons list, I can’t adjust any of my alarms for highs and lows, nor can I set the parameters for those highs and lows. I wish it gave me any control besides “on” or “off.” Highs and lows are relative to the person, and I’d rather an alarm not go off for the person dipping to 69 for one minute. Maybe I’ll get used to it, but it’s a small feature that could change a lot.
Overall, the app is good quality, but for those of us who spend a lot of time and energy caring for someone with T1D, I think a few modern tweaks could make this app much more competitive with other brands.

Voiceover Accessibility is completely gone, and the app is unusable
I am totally blind, This app used to be completely usable, with the new update I cannot use any more. Period I cannot track my wife’s glucose because as soon as I open the app, it freezes and my phone is disabled. I have tried multiple ways with different solutions, but nothing works. Very frustrated and disappointed.

Does the job but now hard to find the icon in v 5.0.0
Recently the colour of the app icon has changed to black and gold which are not colours that leap out on the iPhone display, specially when held within a folder. In an ideal world a choice of icon colours would be available, like some other apps provide. I find the app easy to use and it provides the info I need but it is like a Soviet era car: does the basic job without being likely to win any industry awards for beauty.

New app update is slower, not giving updated readings and color doesn’t stand out
The new update with the dark / grey colors is slower now and not as seamless. The colors in the app and the app logo were better before and easier to identity
Terrible since the update
Since they updated the app it always disconnects and takes forever to reconnect.
Frustrated
In the previous version, I could check my blood sugar reading at any time by moving my finger on the graph; now this feature is gone. useless
Horrible NEW App
I monitor my mom's sugar readings with her. This has got to be one of the WORST upgrades you all have done!! She hates her NEW App and we both hate this one. I hope this gets to the developers and they can fix and/or replace this App with the original or something a whole lot better!
Won’t stay connected
After this app and the Libre app updated this app is constantly saying there is no connection even if the Libre isn’t offline. Makes remote monitoring pretty useless.
Very bad

Miss old version
I agree with other reviewers…the changes to history make it harder to view data. You have to old finger on the graph to see the reading at a particular time but the time shows under your finger so you can’t see it. I often use this to check when last reading was if sensor loses connection to app. Preferred changes would be to show time at top of graph and allow user to click point on graph and show that reading until user clicks somewhere else, i.e. you wouldn’t have to keep finger on graph.
Would also love if it could reduce alarms when glucose is rising because patient has taken corrective action after a low alarm, rather than always sounding alarm when glucose is below set threshold. It would be great if it could distinguish between rising and falling trends when below alarm threshold.

New update is not helpful
The new update in May 2026 is a step backwards. The line on the graph used to make it simple to show a nurse or doctor the time you were talking about (e.g. hypo) by moving the line to the time of day or night but now it jumps back.
It was much more user friendly to have daily readings and alarms on the same screen. You could see patterns quickly.
Also - something that isn’t in the app so not specific to this particular update: please add how many days left for the active sensor.
When you are a carer that doesn’t live with the person wearing the sensor it’s annoying to have to keep a note in your own diary every date and time of day you change their sensor. Some people are not able to apply their own sensor or understand the app. It would be helpful for the carer to see the daily graphs and serial number of sensors (useful when there’s been errors).
Update: I was frustrated when I first left this review but have given more stars now as I wouldn’t want to put off anyone getting the libre sensors and some of my points were quite specific to my situation. I still think for family looking after a parent with dementia it would help to have more features on this app. I appreciate there are data protection issues when sharing of health data is happening so maybe this is why it’s so restricted.

Disconnects a lot
This app is fine when it works but my son’s device always seems to disconnect so I get no data alerts a lot. Not sure if it’s the app or the individual sensors but it’s useless half the time because I have to get him to rescan or reconnect to get updated data. Seems like basic function that should work reliably

Most recent update is broken
Since updating, the app needs to be the only one open or in the background or it loses data and prevents notifications. Typically I'll have a few apps open in the background but that completely stops this app from working. It's beyond dangerous
Needed upgrades
This app needs a widget, the ability to send notifications to lock screen, and better contrast/ font sizes throughout the app. PLEASE hire a better app developer!
Update brought issues
The app updated overnight and therefore left us unaware of high BG until the morning when I had to re login.
Ever since then I’ve had multiple notifications per day that it’s lost connection, then reconnected. 10 to 15 times per day!!
At our next appointment with our diabetic clinic I will be requesting to switch to Dexcom as this is just unacceptable
