Loss of features with updated app
[Edited to add: I’m now experiencing an additional issue which I’ve described below. Further, it is notable that the “Developer Response” below includes a support website link which doesn’t work.]
We have used Dexcom and its associated apps for a decade. I’ll be forever grateful for the upgrade from finger sticks…Dexcom was a game changer when it became available back then.
However, this new Follow app was not properly tested and debugged before being released to the public.
One issue I’m having is that there is no longer an option to have a Follow “complication” on my Apple Watch, despite having the app installed and functioning. (I can access it via the apps menu, but not directly from the home screen as I could with the previous app.)
I’ve spoken with two different Dexcom tech reps (very nice ladies) and we tried to troubleshoot this problem for over an hour, but there was no solution.
Another issue I’ve noticed since installing the app is that the widget on my phone home screen will often not display a blood glucose number until after I tap the widget to open the Follow app. Once I close the app, the number will display on the widget again. This completely defeats the purpose of the widget (which is to see the number without needing to open the app).
Dexcom app developers, please listen to your loyal customers and create a better user experience for all of us.
Thank you.

Doesn’t work most of the time
Dexcom needs to fix their products! People’s lives they are messing with
Doesn’t even work
Would love to track my type 1 spouse but app always says no readings
Connectivity
Loses connection constantly terrible app unreliable
Terrible all the way around
I got a new phone and it made me download the new Follow app. It is so much worse than the original one. Half the time I cannot see my the glucose numbers anymore and it also does not tell you how long since the last update anymore. It is awful. Bring the old one back.
