What's New in Liftosaur

7.8

August 9, 2026

As part of "Embracing Liftoscript" movement - redesigned "Edit Program Exercise" screen. It's not a screen anymore, it's a bottom sheet! And instead of using UI to edit the exercise - you use the text editor to edit exercise's Liftoscript. I tried to make the native editor work well on a phone though, and make it so you can conveniently edit script with it. Supports both editing by tapping values to edit, and using action pills to add features to your exercise, and also - the freeform editing like the code editor.

Mostly solid but lacks some features I’d like

I like a lot of the things this app tries to do. The main downside right now is that there is no way to create an ad hoc workout from a past workout, and there is no way to save a past training day to an existing program. Also the Apple Watch notifications are bugged and the sound always plays no matter what which is annoying enough for me to not use it.

It’s does the math for you, you can focus on the muscle

Computer good, make lift easy. Easy lift make muscle strong. Strong muscle make me happy and healthy. Me happy and healthy become better me. Other people Me love and respect benefit from me becoming better me. App good.

Best Workout App Ever, Amazing Features & Incredible Developer Support!

I can confidently say that Liftosaur is the best workout app I’ve ever used! The features are amazing, and the lifetime subscription is such an incredible value compared to other fitness apps.

I’ve already recommended it to my friends and family because it has completely improved the way I track and plan my workouts. What really makes Liftosaur stand out, though, is the developer and creator, Anton. He is extremely responsive and genuinely listens to user feedback.

I had an issue where the app wasn’t working on my older Apple Watch model, and after I contacted him, he fixed the problem right away. Now everything works perfectly! It’s rare to find a developer who cares so much about the user experience and acts so quickly.

Hands down greatest workout app ever. Thank you, Liftosaur! 💪🦖

Good ui, good support

Found Liftosaur looking for alternatives to Boostcamp because I didn't want to have to manage adjustments. Easy to set up, and every time I've had an issue it's has been user error but the dev has been responsive, friendly and helpful.

Exceptional workout app

After all the apps I’ve used to track my workouts, this runs laps around them all. Liftoscript is game changer

FAQ

What does Liftosaur do?

Liftosaur is a highly customizable weightlifting and strength training app. It allows you to build your own progressive overload programs or use popular pre-built routines. The app automates your training by adjusting weights and reps based on defined logic, tracks every workout, and visualizes your progress over time.

How does the scripting feature work?

Liftosaur features Liftoscript, a simple text-based language for building workouts. You can define exercises, sets, reps, and progression logic directly in text. The app then automatically updates your workout plan and tracks progress based on this script after each session.

What are the popular programs included?

The app includes a variety of popular strength training programs such as GZCL programs (GZCLP, P-Zero, etc.), 5/3/1 and its variations, the Basic Beginner Routine from r/Fitness, and Strong Curves. Each program is written in Liftoscript, allowing for detailed customization of sets, reps, progression rules, and deloads.

Is Liftosaur compatible with my device?

While the provided data does not specify exact compatibility, it is described as a mobile application. Users can typically find compatibility information on the app store page for their specific device's operating system (e.g., iOS or Android).

What are the common use cases for Liftosaur?

Common use cases include automating progressive overload for consistent strength gains, planning and tracking structured weightlifting routines, experimenting with different training methodologies, and monitoring long-term progress through detailed data visualization. It's suitable for both beginners starting their fitness journey and advanced lifters optimizing their training.
