The previous version of the app was much better. We could contact customers directly via WhatsApp using the provided link, and it was also easier to update the order status, such as Processing, Out for Delivery, and other stages.

This area of the software is undeveloped garbage. Lightspeed absolutely lacks the infrastructure to support what they are selling. Do not get this software unless you have no other alternative.
