Cancelled?
I was just starting to enjoy LightStream and using their services, but after the latest forced app update they decided to axe the app in 30 days.
Pretty pitiful overall, I’d be ashamed of myself if I was on this project team or in this firm and we didn’t have an application on iOS.
Embarrassing… no wonder I pay my loan off in record time, they clearly don’t deserve the interest income if they can’t even make it convenient for customers to access data and payments.
Pretty shameful for FinTech like truist to have such a public defeat. Will be moving to another service as soon as possible; I’d even take another single loan to combine my two small auto ones just to use my app to pay.

Love the design
This app is so easy to use and the design of it is great. Shows remaining balance of loans and upcoming payments of what will be coming out of your account. Very straight forward.

Was fantastic
Update: changing from 3 to 4 stars- after two reinstalls the app is now working. Minus a star because a banking app should be rock solid in my opinion. The app has been convenient and easy to use and I hope truist continues to improve on a great tool for customers!
The app worked great until the update and I had two payments left on my loan. Now app locked me out and multiple attempts to login have failed. Interesting as I was about to pay it off a bit early and save on some interest. I’ll be calling them tomorrow.

Ok app for general usage - but doesn’t integrate with 3rd parties
The app is ok for general usage, a little outdated on the UI front and some touch/scroll points are not aligned well (thus inhibiting the UX) - But most of my information is presented with few omissions. What I absolutely can’t stand though is that our accounts no longer sync well with account aggregation services. If you use Mint or another service provider that’s integrated with Yodlee prepare for utter frustration. Found that I needed to re-authenticate with LightStream almost every two hours. Their service team advised, and I quote, “… the LightStream website did recently undergo an update where an extra security measure was put in place. Unfortunately, we are unable to revert this security update.” So, if you are responsible with your finances, and use these types of services, these people will use their inability to balance security with the UX to justify screwing with your experience in other apps. My company did this years ago and after immense backlash we whitelisted Yodlee’s IP addresses - something that LightStream could very easily do but apparently won’t. For that they get 2/5 stars.

Great look, slow performance
The UI looks nice, but the amount of loading screens as you navigate through this app creates a really bad UX and poor performance. Breaking up my direct deposit into different savings goals is really frustrating. Arch teams should look into ways to cache things instead of constantly fetching data and leaving the user hanging.
Another minor annoyance is the inconsistent cropping of .00 throughout the app. Sometimes things show as $3.00, sometimes it’s $3. Seems like a banking app would show the full amount.
