Very little info no Interest rates also they put transfer in money on hold preventing it from earning interest for 3-5 days and that could be $30+ a day

app agreement issue
every time i log in now the app requires accepting a new app agreement. after accepting it and clicking submit the submit button goes gray and stays there. no way to access your account
Mobile Deposits Still Don’t Work
As of June 11, 2025, the mobile deposit feature still doesn’t work.
Horrible communication
I set up an account. When I logged in, it said to call costumer support. I called and they said I was denied. I have a high credit score, low debt to income, and consistent annual employment at the same company. I asked what any reasons for denial are. And they said they couldn’t tell me any necessary criteria.

The person name “Hannah” I hope I am writing the name right lol but anyway Live Oak bank has great customer service but specially “Hannah” thank you very much for helping me in every step to get my account back and all the other workers too for helping me. Check deposit is broken.
The app hangs after the front photo and will not complete the deposit. I dug out an old android to do my banking let’s see if it works.
Oh also they have buggy quickbooks support and missing transactions which makes tax time extremely stressful.

Can’t deposit checks on my phone. 110% interest equals zero if you can’t put money in.

This app is horrible. It will not allow you to login. It says the username and/or password is incorrect. Then will block you. But the same password and username will work on a browser
Not recommended
The bank staff are irresponsible with their work and customers' money, so it's best to stay away from this bank.
Always running into issues with the app
Love the bank, rates are wonderful, but the app needs some serious work. It’s always crashing, bugs etc.
Check Deposit Feature and High Yield Savings
I noticed much of the previously poor reviews are in reference to the check deposit feature, I’ve never had a smoother experience with it than with Live Oaks mobile banking app, super convenient and easy to manage, made a deposit and my funds begin earning interest the same day at an incredible rate. Gets the job done
The app functions well overall. It allows you to view accounts and easily transfer and deposit checks. One thing to note is that the Face ID biometrics seem to only work for a limited time before requiring you to re-enter your credentials. Although this can be inconvenient, it's not a significant issue in the grand scheme of things.

Mobile checks hasn’t worked on iPhones in over a year
I’ve wasted a lot of time talking to customer service, opening cases, sending info. They just refuse to fix issues. I’m done with them.
Impossible to deposit checks
One of the worst check deposit functions of any app I’ve used. Will deposit elsewhere where it actually works even though the interest paid is lower.
Continues to crash for two years now.

Garbage. Be Careful Folks.
I have a sizable c corp ($4MM annual revenue).
I routed about 16k of merchant deposits to their “acclaimed” small business savings.
Was locked, i didn’t worry about it for about 2 years until i remembered that i had money with them.
I sent them account closure forms (photo ID included along with legal jargon my general counsel ensured was proper and binding - requiring they close my account and send me a check for my balance within 30 days of receiving the account closure form)
Mailed certified, they received it, 30 days passes, 60, literally a full calendar year later I began more aggressively pursuing the matter.
They then tell me, they have returned the funds (2+ years after having received them) to the sender. And for me to check the sending account.
Those were merchant deposits, for sales made and products delivered from 2+ years ago. So they returned it ultimately to the merchant bank, aka Wells Fargo. Literally, they made me jump through infinite hoops just to give away my money. So, I’m short the 16k of product sales, as they so generously decided to give away their client’s money.
Be careful folks. At live oak bank, please do correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m not, so I doubt you guys will have anything to say as you guys epitomize the gutter of the US banking system.
