Fast, Easy and convenient

Like Lively one of the easiest FSA services I’ve used

Simple and Straight Forward

I followed the instructions, uploaded the documents, and was approved immediately. Still waiting on the reimbursement, so give it a couple days.

HSA

Should be more user friendly when it comes to paying what is medical and what is not. Sometimes you don’t have available money to pay when lively chooses to do this.

It sucks I’m always having to verify legitimate pharmacy and hospital expenses

Every time I pick up medication or go to pay a hospital bill, get durable medical equipment like a walker I needed, physical therapy after knee replacement, or anything, I have to justify it to be able to spend MY OWN MONEY on medical, dental, or vision expenses when these are submitted from the very places with those names like Walmart PHARMACY, Golden Valley Medical Center, LinCare Medical Supply, etc. What else would I be getting at these places except covered items. It’s not like I could buy liquor or cigarettes. The card would automatically reject it because it’s not covered, so why do I have to keep “verifying” these things when obviously the card knows they’re either covered or not covered? It’s ridiculous. It seems you just want to be connected directly to my insurance claims so you can poke around and be nosy, and “verify” every single transaction then. I’m thinking nope. If the card automatically knows what I can and cannot buy because it’s not covered, it shouldn’t be an issue at all and be automatically verified when the card allows it. You need to figure out a better way. I have coworkers that don’t go through this with Lively every freaking time….so why me?

If I could give 0 stars then I would

This place sucks, but unfortunately my employer went from using HealthEquality to this stupid place. They will never approve anything the 1st time….but yet, when I finally called and questioned what they needed because the info they requested for approval was already sent in.

Literally they tell you it will take 3-5 business days to process, but they really mean 5 at minimum and once they took over 7 business days even with me calling to check on it. Then they will deny your claims….so it will eventually be time to pay your next month’s childcare before you even get reimbursed for the other month.

Also, the app will not work well for “chatting with someone” feature. By the time your halfway into a conversation with a representative, the app stops sending your messages after you type them…because it somehow “logs you out” but you literally still in the app on the chat. Then you have to go log back in 🤦‍♀️😭

Regressed

This company went downhill slowly. I recommend people to Fidelity now. They use to allow all your money to be in the investment account. Now they hold $3000 before you can invest with the Schwab investment account. $3000 sits in their pockets barely earning any interest, but I bet they have it heavily invested. There are better options when choosing an HSA. When you’re ready to transfer to Fidelity or another bank, be ready to have your money do nothing for 4-6 weeks. The guys are slower than molasses giving your money back.

Easy to use

I'm really enjoying the service and app. It's quick to submit a claim and receive reimbursement.

No confusion

Lively has a process where I always know my balance and contribution totals

Excellent App

I have never been able to verify an FSA expense so easily!

Adding receipts

It’s very convenient that purchase are now showing up instantly, even if pending, and we are able to add receipts the same day as the purchase.

Gate keeping your money!

They require forms to be filled out that are unnecessary to be reimbursed for medical expenses. They aren’t the IRS they shouldn’t be making decisions on what is eligible, if you have researched it yourself or have a prescription they should not require paperwork to get your money.

Best HSA ever

We are forced to switch our accounts to a new HSA and it is blatantly obvious that Lively has the superior product. The app is so user friendly you never need customer service but when you do they are profoundly more competent then our new company. Wish we didn’t need to switch!

Great app!

So user friendly app! Easy entry of receipts, can pay easily with debit card or get paid back later.

Way too strict

Somehow after working with HealthEquity for years and having 0 problems getting things like actual medicines and actual legitimate childcare approved smoothly, lively needs a ton more documentation. They are acting like they are the IRS rather than a holder of MY money. I am getting medications from pharmacies declined, after school invoices declined, etc etc. I can justify all of this to the IRS if needed but for them to decline and not pay me my own stuff is about 10 steps too far.

Lively has been absolutely terrible to work with and they need to get their heads out of the bureaucracy about 5 times and understand that if we use our child's school's after school program it's legitimate. If I am ordering from a credentialed pharmacy it's legitimate.

Such a headache. Stop trying to keep my money, it's mine not yours unless you want to start paying me to work through your convoluted processes.

Works fine but they use agentic AI

App is fine except if you need to pay back an item, there is no way to just pay it back, you have to wait it out. You also cannot just get info from a person now, it's agentic AI. Shame on them for ruining the planet and stuffing Americans out of good-paying jobs.

Awesome Wealth & Health App

Easy, streamlined, no bull charges, fast

Always declines

Card always declines

Best HSA Ever

I’ve been beyond satisfied with Lively. Their app, customer service, web interface, and processing of claims have been the best I’ve ever experienced. Honestly, one of the best customer experiences I have in today’s world.

Great tech support if needed!

This app is a little confusing at first, but the tech support have been great help in explaining how to get claims reimbursed!

Impossible to work with

They refuse legitimate claim after the next. No accountability for their refusals
