Love Loftie

Mostly manual, easy and intuitive fine tuning with app, no subscription it’s perfect for me.

Loftie

Honestly it like a lot how the sync an everything else works

Had it for years

I’ve had the loftie since it came out and the app has always been janky, I leave the loftie and come back hoping the app has gotten better, but I still end up with alarms I can’t delete, settings that won’t change, etc. Very annoying for something that was pretty pricey

That I need an app login to use an alarm clock

What in the dystopian, UX nightmare is this? I have to LOG IN to an app, dealing with password resets, at 10pm when a man just wants to set his alarm for the morning? Nightmare.

Used be great

I used to really like my alarm clock, but now the app doesn’t work as well as it used to. Setting alarms used to easier than my phone not anymore. It seems like everything requires you to subscribe. My clock doesn’t even upate the time correctly anymore. Unless you want an alarm clock, that’s useless without a monthly subscription stay away.

Difficult

Clock won’t sync to Bluetooth. Can’t even set it. Seems a bit ridiculous

Unreliable Product

I’ve never experienced more bluetooth or connectivity issues with app and a smart device than with Loftie. The amount of time spent simply trying to set the alarm is appalling.

Stop with the ads!

I just want to turn off my light and every single time I have to dismiss your ads. This is infuriating. The one core and basic function of the app (and a lamp) is blocked by pop ups. And it’s a $300 lamp!

It keeps getting better!

I love Loftie and I’ve had it for years and unlike other products that make you buy something new to get the new benefits my clock will update and get better and better features. I’m very happy with Loftie

Truly added to my life

Quite literally noticed change after the first night. My goal was to get my phone out of my bedroom and this helped tremendously. Especially since the app is not required. Absolutely IN LOVE.

Can’t connect

For what it is, a clock, it’s overly difficult to connect this to Wi-Fi.
On the clock face, when plugged in, says go to the app to connect, but then when you go to the app, it says Bluetooth must be on and then once you turn on Bluetooth, the clock is not discoverable. Stupid product

THE BEST ALARM CLOCK EVER

It literally is peak all the settings struts sound whatever the heck you want it puts you to sleep even with their nightlight

Great!

Super chic and easy to use.

Basically unusable at this point

Update 6/23/26: Somehow they’ve managed to make it even worse; an impressive feat. Even with latest updates on clock and app, I’m unable to connect AT ALL. Just keeps going off into endless loops of claiming it’s connected and “finalizing” then telling me to reconnect. The alarms (which I have to set manually of course) rarely go off now. The clock restarts randomly in the middle of the night and lights up the room. And not only is the “support” a chatbot that promises emails from developers which never come, it keeps calling me “Christian”. THAT IS NOT MY NAME - WHO IS CHRISTIAN?! It’s so unbelievably bad it’s almost funny. I’m going to use this useless hunk of plastic to practice IoT pen-testing - I feel confident it will be full of easy to find vulnerabilities.

Update 1/21/26: Clock and app continue to become worse with every update. Clock has now taken to randomly restarting 3-4 times a week while I’m trying to fall asleep, causing the light and display to suddenly turn on in my dark room. I’m told developers are here to help - but how? Repeatedly I’ve contacted “customer support” AI bot who assures me that my concerns sound most frustrating, and I’ll be getting an emailed response shortly from a senior member of development team - and no emails or follow-ups, ever.

Is this being vibe-coded by AI? Does anyone actually work there at all? It’s a mystery. All I know for sure is that I have a very expensive “clock” where the alarm frequently doesn’t go off at all, it suddenly lights up in the middle of the night, and I cannot contact a living person about it.

Latest update is awful. I cannot use the app to do something as minor as disabling an existing alarm without reconnecting EVERY TIME now - and the only way the app will reconnect is to RESTART THE CLOCK. The last thing I want to do is spend literally 20 minutes watching while this “syncs with the cloud” or whatever foolishness the app is allegedly doing when I just want to disable or enable an alarm. I used to love my Loftie, but honestly I feel like they’re trying to push us towards paying for a subscription by having basic functionality almost unusable without it.

Good physical products but poor app

The app for these products is very slow, buggy, and unreliable. It consistently requires having to reconnect the lamps and/or clock, and any change to alarm settings take a while to load or doesn’t save at all

I hate this app!!! Loses WiFi connection daily

Every time I open the app it won’t connect to my clock. Really frustrating! Yet my router app says it is connected. Lousy app. Please fix it.

Great customer support

I’ve owned this clock for around two years, and it’s been pretty solid for me in that time until a recent update caused some major issues with sound quality and connectivity. I was pretty frustrated with this, but customer support stayed in touch until the issue was finally resolved (yay!) so I’m relieved I don’t need to find a replacement. I do wish I could control more with this app. I get that the clock is partly meant to keep your phone out of the bedroom, but some settings (like choosing a sleep sound) are tedious to manage on the clock itself. Not a dealbreaker though.

Great Idea - Bad Connection

I truly loved it at the begging. However, my clock was disconnected for a few weeks due to moving and now it won’t connect to the Internet & app. The communication between the app and the clock itself was never smooth in the first plavr. I have a clock laying around that I can’t even use anymore. Super sad :/

good idea, worst execution EVER

i don't know why an alarm clock even needs updating but every other month, the clock completely stops working or randomly disconnects from the app, without a warning of what's going on or how to resolve it. i have actively lost several hours of sleep trying to use this alarm as it'll randomly keep alarms on that you turned off when it disconnects to the app or needs to be updated, and you'll never know there's a problem until it's too late.

Bluetooth sucks

Using Bluetooth literally breaks it every time. I’ve tried resetting and updating, nothing works.
