Lokal, local to Waterloo region, had a reputable taxi business.
It provides cheaper and higher quality service than uber or Lyft. Yet a lot of people do not use it. Why? The app is horrible. People look for seamless experience. In order to compete with those giants, you need to make the app not act and look like it is from 2010.
Just invest a few thousand into upgrading this app. It will bring in more customers. Partner with plentiful students around the area.

It doesn’t send verification code either to mobile or mail. I cannot login. Complete crap.
Map interface is confusing and error prone
The service is fine but the app is terrible. The map won’t let you see details about your destination and it’s really easy to select the wrong address. Best way is to search the destination on Google maps, then copy paste the address into Lokal but even that’s not always effective.
