What a terrible app. The drivers always take way too long to arrive, and sometimes they don’t even come. They just keep driving farther away until the customer gives up and cancels the ride or has to wait for another driver to be assigned. There should be a maximum waiting time for customers. Definitely 0/10.

I have over 100 trips on my account and in the last 2-3 months Lyft has fallen off. Prices have increased a lot compared to uber, hidden fees get added after you already agreed on a price, just all kinds of random little things that are making me use it less and less. I always used them but in the last 2 weeks I’ve been using uber instead. I just booked the same trip on uber for $15 and on Lyft it was $25. Makes no sense why it’s so unbalanced compared to uber but I’m slowly moving away from it.

Optimizing more efficient routes
Over the years lyft still has the issue of giving me routes and rides with excessive turns and unnecessary prolonged rides vs just going on the highway. Sometimes it’s a matter of just suggesting a route vs always following gps. Sometimes gps suggestions are not the best vs someone who naturally knows the region around them .

I’m sure there are lots of reasons why the prices are so high these days but yikes, it makes it difficult when having to get somewhere and parking is not an option.

My first experience with a driving service
I think I found the advertisement for it on either Facebook or Instagram so I downloaded it and knew I was going to need the service the next day so today when I woke up and open the app it was super simple to connect to my method of payment I didn’t even have to reach my wallet so that was cool. From there the logistics of the two and from and selecting the car with time frames and prices was super easy. All in all from opening the app for the first time and connecting my payment method ordering a ride probably took seven minutes maximum. The right showed up super quick exactly where I dropped the pin and the driver was great car was clean and good air-conditioning so I gave them five stars for a good first experience
