Bait and switch

I downloaded in late April. In less than a month they removed one of the most compelling features, the barcode scanner, and then are going to raise the monthly subscription price by more than double.

Avoid this app and anything Anthony tries to sell you. They are scam artists.

easy to use

I tried several macro apps, and this was my favorite because you just talk to it (like any ai tool) and tell it what you ate as opposed to manually typing and searching through databases of food items and inputting one at a time. You can, of course, type in what you ate but there is not searching for the exact thing you ate. It just does it for you. This style definitely reduces all the “counting” tediousness that comes with other apps.

Issues trying to login

I was so excited to use this app! It got recommended by a book I was reading, so I downloaded the app, but the login part keeps on glitching :/

So Disappointed

I was SO excited for this app. I knew it was still in beta when paying for the year and I expected things would change, but I never anticipated it to be dead in the water like it is now. I joined the Facebook groups, gave feedback, reported bugs in the app and now 6 months later nothing has changed.

The creator has commented on Facebook posts/made their own posts about investing thousands into updates and just said three weeks ago “We are making changes every week Always improving. Dialing things in.” But the App Store shows the most recent update was two months ago.

The creator has also commented in their various Facebook groups about not wanting to continue with their macro business that this app was born out of and is looking for a buyer. Ok, that’s fine, don’t do something that makes you miserable, but don’t leave so many people hanging like this. Not cool.

I’m likely one of the very few still utilizing the app at this point, but I’m finally calling it quits. I discovered multiple glitches today and can’t even be bothered to report them.

Don’t waste your time and money.

The Best Tool for Your Fitness Goals

This app has been indispensable on my fitness journey. Tracking my meals is so simple, whether I'm adding a favorite
meal or scanning something new. Seeing my history and progress laid out so clearly has kept me more motivated than
ever. If you're serious about hitting your macro targets and seeing results, this is the only app you need. The
premium features are well worth it!

Don’t waste your money

I was so excited for this to launch. The hype for this was crazy. It’s been nothing but a disappointment. Just stick to MyFitnessPal. I feel like I got scammed lol

What is the status of this app?

Purchased the year subscription at the beginning of the beta phase because that was the only option, and the potential for this app was high. I was excited by the possibilities and liked the hands on approach of the experienced developer who seemed committed to improvement. Someone mentioned on the Facebook support group that they feel this is a scam. I am so hoping this is not true as I put my faith in the developer. I know you are trying to sell the app but are you continuing to improve and support the app while you do?

Should be free

This application should be free because it’s not a finished product. You’re asking me to give you $40 for the year for an unfinished project. It’s also not very user-friendly. It’s hard to understand and the macros are not always correct when looking at the box I see the macros, but your system reports something else. Also, it does not give you a breakdown of your macros and it’s hard to correct those macros if they’re listed incorrectly. The concept is great, but the execution is lackluster. This app is missing a lot of basic features.

Not worth paying for

I Dont think its worth paying for… yet. There are several limitations and I truly believe that the monetization of the app is premature

No free version to try

Sorry but I don’t want give any payment information until after I try your app. You offer free trial for 7 days then get charged for a year. 7 days is not long enough to know if I want to commit to your app for a year.

Nice alternative

i’ve been using food trackers for five years now. I’m really enjoying Macro Max. It’s faster and it appears to have all the foods I need and its database that includes name brands and Aldi brands and just foods without a brand. I’m so glad I signed up for this.

Response from developer

Thanks Sharon, that means a lot coming from someone with that much experience tracking. We built Macro Max to be fast, accurate, and flexible enough to handle real-life eating, not just perfect scenarios. Glad the database is hitting the mark for you, and even more glad you joined us. Thanks so much!

Good Ideas and Getting Better!

This is a simple tracking app that takes away all of the nonsense that bigger tracker apps have fallen into. Is it perfect? Not yet, and the growth is the best part! This app has been a long time in the making and every day the creators are working to make it the best it can be!

Response from developer

Thanks Courtney. That’s exactly what I set out to do. Simplicity. My goal was to strip away the clutter and make tracking feel simple again. It’s not perfect yet, but we’re improving it every day with feedback from people like you. I’m in this for the long game, and I’m glad you’re here for the ride. Thanks so much!

Macros Simplified

I’m new to macro tracking and I’ve had little adjustment issues getting used to this way of tracking. I like that the app will generalize macros for a food based on description, but also that you can be detailed and add food weights or quantities to be more specific.

The beta version definitely has some flaws but the developer is good at communicating and fixing things as quick as possible. Like anything new, it takes some time to get it all dialed in.

Thanks for being part of the beta launch and for showing up with thoughtful feedback. Voice logging has been a game changer for a lot of us, and I'm glad you're finding it fast and easy. I’m especially grateful for how you reported bugs and shared upgrade ideas. Your engagement helps us refine the app for everyone. Thanks a ton!

Beta User

So quick and easy to log via voice - no more searching through lists of items to log meals. As a beta tester I have logged minor bugs which have been resolved quickly and suggested upgrades have been added to product road map.

Response from developer

Appreciate you being part of the beta launch, and even more for helping us improve with your feedback. Voice logging was a game-changer for me too. No more endless scrolling. Grateful to have you on this journey. Thanks for your review!

Another lousy gpt wrapper

This is missing so many features: can't edit serving sizes, incomplete nutrients on most foods, the recipes it recommends are a joke, can't change days in the past, the Al frequently just makes up the nutrients. Searching for the same exact food returns different nutrients each time. You can’t trust it.

This is basically ChatGPT with a terrible design and I can't believe anyone would pay for this.

Response from developer

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. I can see how frustrating that experience must have been, especially if the app didn’t meet your expectations right out of the gate. It's only been a week since the app went live and we’ve already fixed most of the issues you mentioned, We’re still in our beta launch phase, and while that means occasional bugs, it also means we’re listening closely and iterating fast. Macro Max wasn’t built by a big company or some agency. I built it myself after 15 years of macro coaching because none of the existing trackers worked the way I needed them to. I wanted something fast, accurate, and consistent, and it’s getting better every day. If you're open to a second look, I’d really value hearing what you’d like to see improved. You can reach me directly at support@macrotracker.com. I read every message and genuinely care about making this the best tool on the market. In gratitude and abundance, ANT

Micro tracker

This is the easiest and best macro tracker I have used!

Response from developer

Appreciate that, Frank. That’s exactly what I set out to build, fast, easy, and finally accurate. Glad it’s hitting the mark for you. Keep tracking. In gratitude and abundance, ANT
